Jordan shot like crap (40%) for that entire series. His shooting lines by game: Game 1 - 10 for 27 Game 2 - 12 for 32 Game 3 - 3 for 18 Game 4 - 18 for 30 (his one good shooting game) Game 5 - 11 for 24 (his one ok shooting game) Game 6 - 8 for 24 This is the part of the Jordan lore everyone likes to forget. MJ chucked up the ball a LOT to get his points, but he was usually bailed out by the refs often enough to save his scoring efficiency by shooting far more FTs than anyone else.

This is exactly HOW you get beat. The Knicks really thought they were going to win that year, they just didn't know HOW to win, they knew HOW to lose and beat themselves but they kept the winners on the bench like Mason, Rolando Blakman, and got rid of key guys like Mark Jackson and Gerald Wilkins along with Xavier McDaniel -- keep that team together they easily beat the Bulls in '93 .... You see Chicago didn't just get rid of guys, they kept building after 1988, 1989, and 1990 but even into '93 you see Darrell Walker, Trent Tucker, and had key contributions from Stacey King, even though they lost Cliff Levingston and upon even Jordan retiring, you see Jerry Krause picked up Pete Myers, Luc Longley, Steve Kerr and then they had Ron Harper, so you have to build around your core and Chicago did that well, even with having Jordan but what did the Knicks do when they finally had a team with Ewing? No Mark Jackson, Gerald Wilkins, Xavier McDaniel ... just those 3 guys at that time would make any team a championship contender. Something else. Pippen came up big in games 5-6 and played really solid in game 3 holding things down well and just the 1992-93 Bulls were the most settled and mature among the first 3 title teams.

Very reason New York hired him was because he had NBA titles on his resume with the Lakers.

I miss 90s NBA, when it was all team play, not ISOs and stepback 3s and the mid-range was respected.

Charles Smith is at MSG rn, in 2024, trying to grab that rebound.

When I was a kid I never cared for john starks....now that I'm 40 I can't believe how much he still bugs me haha he just looks like that typical asshole on any court that thought they were tough

I loved how the Bulls court always looked like it needed to be waxed. A nice dirty matte finish.

Wow.. the time when they actually played good defense...

I remember this game was the most beautiful view in the entire series against the New York Knicks. In the end, the Bulls won the entire series 4-2

They always say that the 98 team was the most vulnerable of the 6 championships but i feel that 98 team would beat the 93 team!
@kingshabazz13103 ай бұрын
1996 they had Rodman, Kerr, Harper, and Kukoc. 1993 Bulls didn't have the same firepower off the bench nor the defensive backcourt.

I agree with both of you. I believe the ‘95-‘96 team was the best of them all.

The 96 team was the best of all those teams, but I'd take the first three-peat over the second. From 97-98 MJ was relying mostly on the fadeaway instead of exploding by & over defenders like he did in the early 90's. The first 3-peat Bulls simply ran you off the floor.

It’s so funny how a lot of people talk about the great knicks of the 90”s what was so great about them, they could never get pass the bulls in the playoffs, MJ dominated them year in year out!!!😂😂😂 they were just a good team, but not good enough.
@x-man94732 ай бұрын
How does them losing to the Bulls dictate their entire status as a team? They made the finals 2x and made multiple conference finals appearances. They were legit. Just not good enough.

Insane take. Those Knick teams of the 90's were fantastic. They just ran into the buzzsaw that was MJ & the Bulls
