One man dominates the NBA's record book like no other... Wilt "The Stilt" Chamberlain... but what if he never existed? Who would then be the new standard of some of the league's most impressive records?

The game of Basketball has been my passion since I was 5 years old. I grew up as a kid watching my dad's recorded VHS tapes of playoff games through the 70s and 80s, and collected all the Basketball cards. Something about the game and what it represents just hooked me from a very young age.
My love for the game only continues to grow as time goes on. I love studying and analyzing the game, with an unbiased perspective. Feel free to subscribe, follow me on social media, and celebrate this amazing game and it's rich history with me!
I post videos every week on NBA history, predictions, hypothetical scenarios and current NBA topics.

@@PastLifeVillian Wilt always outplayed Bill it's just that Bill had a good superteam against Wilt (Wilt also had a superteam for 6 years the problem was he had injuries for 1 year and I believe his 2 others teammates were either each out for 1 year making it only 3 years) and had better coaches. In a game 7 with the Celtics Wilt left before the game started because he felt like he was injured, he came back at halftime I believe and the coach told him "We don't need you here, the teams playing better without you" In which they loss and Wilt got blamed for it by the media.

Wilt also won the ncaa high jump championship, was excellent at both racketball and volleyball. He used to hang out outside the gym at UCLA after he retired, and was the most impressive physical specimen I've ever seen. Having said that, a case could be made for Jackie Robinson. Baseball hall of fame, still holds the yards per carry record at UCLA in football, won NCAA championship in long jump, was league MVP in basketball, won a juniors championship in tennis. Arguably his worst sport at UCLA was baseball.

@AdpYTExplorer
@AdpYTExplorer 3 жыл бұрын
@@tomshumate3940 honestly he IS to blame for a lot of his "bad teammates" reason as well, if I think of it lol. His sky-high wages(every time he switched a team he broke the league record) perhaps prevented his teams from getting even decent side-players. He received very preferential treatment and was generally locker-room cancer until 1967 season (for one season, he was good w teammates only). His high usage rate is also used against him as a reason for being locker room cancer cuz none of his teammates felt like playing w him cuz he dominated the ball so often (again, he stopped doing that for 1967 season, and that NBA team is regarded one of the best in history).. Bill russell on the other hand was just as moody and egotistical as him, but made sure team camaraderie was first priority. So, with all his talent and lack of good luck, I'd definitely say Wilt was top 10, but certainly not close to greatest. Imo, cuz basketball is team sport lol

If Wilt had, for some reason, retired after his rookie NBA season, he'd still be the ALL TIME Average PPG record holder AS WELL as the ALL TIME Rebounds per game record holder! His average PPG and rebounds per game from his ROOKIE SEASON are BOTH higher than any other player's CAREER BEST season PPG average or rebounding average (unless you count Elgin Baylor's 48 game 38.3 PPG season). The combined number of points and rebounds is 64.6, which is MUCH, MUCH higher than any other player has ever achieved in even their best season. Most if not all of this can be inferred from the stats given in this video, so I'm surprised that this wasn't pointed out. I just think that we don't pay as much attention to this, probably because we have a habit of comparing Wilt's career best stats to other player's career best stats, as well as comparing his rookie records to other people's rookie records.

Bro you deserve more subs and views. You do great NBA content. You don't push your opinion as fact. 👍 As far as the video the part that sticks out to me is Wilt's 4k+ season and Jordan's 3k+ season for points. In todays NBA where scoring is inflated big time because of rule changes and more 3s i find it funny young fans today prop up Lebron, KD, Harden, etc as the best players ever. None of em have even sniffed 3,000 points in a season. 😉
