Toughest era..... except for all the eras before it. Basketball has gotten less brutal and more finesse every decade since it was invented. Did you know that basketball courts used to be in literal metal cages just like cage fights? Before that players would literally wrestle to grab out-of-bounds balls since it was first come first serve for the possession. So the people who think the 80s were the toughest are just the people who were introduced to B-Ball in the 80s. People who became fans in the 90s think the 90s were the toughest and the same for the 70s, 60s, etc. 20 years from now people will be talking about how tough the NBA was in the 2010s.
