His innate love and care for the lives of many is so apparent…I needed this today…I’m having a long term panic over the past week…it paralyzes me…can’t leave my home…this has me petrified of homelessness and hunger….I’m absolutely scared to death …thanks Love

He’s wonderful. And it’s true that depression is exhausting. So is trying to explain why it’s exhausting to people who think you can just snap out of it.

i have battled depression since i was a teenager. crying for weeks every other month just wanting to die not enjoying anything. and then it stopped. i credit getting a dog and going into menopause, not sure that's what it was, the long walks in the woods with my dog certainly helped i guess. i still don't care if i die tomorrow, i just made my peace with it. now i go to bed every night being thankful for all i have. coming down the stairs in the morning seeing my now second dog wagging his tail is all i need to make the day a good one. go rescue a dog, it might save your life!

Bravo! As someone who suffers and survives, I applaud Kevin. As a teacher of our youngest babies, and most vulnerable populations, I spend a great part of my day working towards the the goals he speaks of. And I can truly relate to his point that he is able to help others because of struggles and pain.

Great interview with Kevin Love, Nicolle. I too suffer from depression & Anxiety (panic attacks). They are REAL and very debilitating. Everything you both talked about rang true to me. I just began therapy a few months ago. And although it took several therapist to feel safe and heard, I finally found who I NEEDED. Thank you for sharing this interview and for both of you speaking honestly. It helps to know that I'm not alone 💞💞

What a great man. He will help a lot of people. I didn’t know who he was. It is great an athlete can relate to people with mental issues.

Reading the comments makes me realize that Kevin’s message will fall on many deaf ears. Depression often manifests itself as anger. There are a lot of angry people in this world. A depression epidemic if you will. Men don’t easily admit weakness aka depression or vulnerability. Toxic masculinity is a big problem. Just listening to Kevin speak has made me a fan of Kevin the person. The Heat are lucky to have him to mentor his young teammates. Thanks for this interview.

Good to see someone talk about how COVID causes mental health issues, and how we're only at the beginning of knowing what COVID's effects on us and our kids will be 10-20 years from now.
