@cognitivedisability9864
@cognitivedisability9864 7 жыл бұрын
Nah, he had many health issues no lie. Shoulder, back, knee I got the same. it's because of his back. Anyway after mcgrady left magic he wasn't the same player, worse fg% 3% ft% than at orlando. And that was in part because of a back injury in 2003-2004. After that he stopped attacking the basket as much and became a low % shooter. I think both injury and because he lost motivation hence not taking regular season seriously that both these reason are to blame also I think while with the rockets with all the injuries and keep losing playoffs series I also think he gradually lost his confidence over time after the 2002-2003 season. He also did not want to be a leader. which actually alot of superstars throught the history of the league never were. SO I don't really care about that. He also wasn't that selfish and took far less shots when he was with the rockets. Hence regular season numbers falling. He didn't care about mvp and all that. he wanted to win a chip. It's really sad when you have a superstar like tmac who just wants to win and doesn't care about his own numbers a real team player never win a ring. I'm not saying what I'm typing are facts as I have never been with t-mac or any of the teams he played on when any of this happened so I wont claim to know the truth. It's just what information I have gathered around the internet.

T-Mac legit the most underrated player ever. He’s seriously the 2k character you create that’s tall and fast and extremely nimble for his size that can jump through the gym. The game really did come easier to him. I’d honestly almost put T-Mac in my top 5. Just imagine young Lebron at point, young Michael at the 2, prime T-Mac the 3, Hakeem at the 4 or Timmy, and Young Wilt at the 5. I always liked Kobe and it’s hard to knock him out of the lineup but dude T-Mac’s size and athleticism were definitely an advantage over Kobe. Think of the speed and size and athleticism of that starting 5. I’d pay great money to see that team play a game

T-Mac was more gifted physically. He was taller, had a massive wingspan(7'2), large hands and was just as fast and explosive as Kobe, and was just as hard of a worker, but ultimately injuries caught up to McGrady and as clutch as T-Mac was, he didn't have Kobe's will or Alpha Dog Mentality. T-Mac was more passive than people might think, he deferred a lot at times while Kobe would refuse to defer even when Shaq was a laker.

Zach Lavine is a 6'6 T-mac, his career is trending like T-mac and might explode if he gets his own team. He has the same moves, same shot with more bounce, same layups, more acrobatic, and slightly more athletic. He will have a post game and start posterizing ppl once his body gets bigger. Hopefully his D improves under Thibs too

T-Mac was an underrated defender in Toronto and Orlando. He came to the league being know as an athletic player who was a very good defensive player. In Toronto he averaged about 2bpg in 31mpg as SF in one season. But the fact is that Kobe was elite on the defensive side. T-Mac was just quite good but he wasn't elite. Also Wade only has 2x All NBA defensive 1st team, but he's one of the greatest defensive SG ever.

That's why Kobe was the best SG in the game since 2000; better than Carter, Iverson & T-Mac. He had the offensive skills and the defense as well as playmaking. Shaq basically had the best all-around SG during the 3-Peat.

McGrady was a top notch defender when he was a raptor(avg around 2 blocks/game), but as soon as he went to Orlando, he became more of an offensive player...but that doesn't mean he couldn't play defense when he WANTED to. Take this game for example, him and Bryant were guarding each other the whole game, and they both ended up with 38pts,. Keep in mind, Shaq was guarding the paint which is a big advantage for Bryant.

Kobe looked at Mike and said "you know what the different between me and him is? He's finished and I'm just getting started." Tmac had 31 through 3 quarters.... Kobe had 21.... Kobe then went on to score 17 in the 4th and bring the Lakers back. Shane Battier said it was the most badass Kobe Bryant story he's ever heard. Just thought I'd share.
