Not gonna lie, as a father myself, and someone’s who’s father wasn’t there when I was a kid…his tribute to his pops got me. A father’s impact often gets forgotten. Watching his son reach the pinnacle in the sport they both loved was probably everything he ever wanted. But having his son honor him in that moment, had to have meant the world. Amazing.

Have watched him ball from the bleachers, my sofa, and sports bar stools, but Never did I realize 💯 until this speech aired just how much I Admired him. D.W. you just made me proud as a parent, a daughter, an athlete, a Miamian and a human in general. I know you will most likely never read this but You are the Man.
