6 for 24 (3pt.) and 2 for 20 (3pt.). These percentages are not far fetched with the reliance on 3pt. shooting in the NBA. Highlight reels are hiding the fact that "Three Ball Shooting" are not putting up the kind of points that casual fans are being led to believe. Yes, when the shots are going in teams are keeping the other team at bay, and yes, when teams are hitting those low percentage shots, they are keeping the scores close, but if many of these "Three Ball" players of the current era would be finding themselves either on the bench or off of a team with due to their low 3pt. made vs. attempt ratio. It's a strategic fad that's only going to last for a few more seasons. All that's needed is a team with players who are low post, or mid range shooting assassins, then the other teams will attempt to follow suit.
@livefromthemotherland5 жыл бұрын
I’ve been saying this for about two years now. The return of the post player is really gonna rip thru the league because no defense is being played. It’s obvious 3 pt shooting is killing teams that don’t have shooters. Thunder literally shot themselves out of a series. And they aren’t the only team chucking up low percentage shots because of this new trend of “ 3 is more than 2”. That only works if you MAKE them. If not you’re playing with a failing strategy
