You got idiots on you tube saying Jokic overrated. Yet the man dropping 25-12-9. 4 triple doubles 3 of them in wins. And let this sink in the Nba playoff leader in rebs and assists is a 7’0 footer. But he overrated these haters man it’s unreal.

Jokic was second in the league in triple doubles behind Westbrook. He is playing his way to first-team all-NBA. He has been more consistent (and available) this season than any other center. He would get my vote for first-team all-NBA.

TBH He should be front runner for MVP along with Giannis and Harden...Jokic regular season accomplishment isn't any less impressive and historical then those other two guys (2nd youngest team secured 2nd seed in the West after missing playoffs last year, all while missing several key players for most of season, and individually he almost averaged triple double playing 80 games)

The thing about Jokic is that he doesn't only make the flashy pass. He can make the flashiest pass you've ever seen from a bigmen but he also makes the simple pass over and over and over again. And not only a pass that just leads to a basket. He just makes the right pass for the ball to keep moving into a right direction. Hes not chasing assists like some players do. Just by getting 10 assists per game it doesn't mean you are some great unselfish player but when you do it in the style Jokic does that is a clear example of a true unselfish guy who loves to set his teamamets up. On top of that he moves really well without the ball,knows how to make himself open,once he gets he can make a mid range shot or even a 3 point shot. He has post moves for every post defender and it doesn't matter if he's close to the basket or a little bit further out. He sets great screens,he can roll to the basket and finish and he can even put in on the floor and just drive to the basket. He also grabs a lot of offensive or defensive rebounds and has a great touch for tip ins. Made a lot of improvment on defense since his rookie seasons. If he continues this way he simply has the chance to be one of the great centers of all times. He has that much impact on the game.

For everyone saying that Embiid is better than Jokic or Jokic is better than Embiid, I understand the argument. Both have vast skill sets to help their respective teams win. Both have their issues: Jokic = weight, Embiid = injuries. Both have tremendous advantages: Jokic = passing and playmaking, Embiid = defense and offensive prowess. My preference: Jokic. His game feels natural. The triple doubles seem to happen organically, rather than a function of forced shots and stolen rebounds from teammates. His game is a meshing of herky-jerky post moves, water-polo passes, fluid three-point shots, and uncanny court positioning.

Embii is better in the defensive side of the ball, but dont let Jokic body fools you. His D has been at lot better in the playoffs. Hes not blocking shot, but hes always in the right spot forcing players to change they shot. I would take Jokic over Embii, because Jokic makes the whole team play at lot better. He impact the game in so many differences ways. HIs passing open shots for his teammates. His 3PT open the paint, his post create cut for others players. You cant really defend Jokic. The only thing "stopping" Jokic is the double, but he can pass the pass allowing other to take a WIDE open 3PT. So in theory you cant stop him With Embii you let him take jumpers and post up then send double team because he wont make a good pass to the others.
@joenicedj
@joenicedj 5 жыл бұрын
@Cameron Luer six treatments to play the other night. Embiid is a big man with back, foot, and knee issues. I cannot see him playing another seven seasons. Those injuries grow exponentially. Every body part is connected. Embiid put on muscle but that might hinder him. That extra muscle weight might cause the knee problems. Maybe yoga would alleviate his aches and pains. He needs flexibility, not necessarily upper body strength. Kareem practiced yoga in his later years and he managed to play nd be productive for two decades.

Both of these teams excite me. Mike Malone is right, Denver has the chance to be a great team for years to come. Murray and Jokic is enough to build around right there, with their team's identity and toughness. And Portland doing all this without their 2nd best player in Nurkic?! With Dame, CJ playing out of his mind, Rodney Hood and Seth with the bench offence, Kanter playing probably his best basketball in a while. They're only a couple role players and one more star away from being true title contenders. Both fan bases should be excited about the future.

We have had it wrong all this time. Speed is not what matters. Super slowness is the key to demolishing your opponent. They said Larry Bird was slow, but Jokic would finish 3rd in a two man race.

I can't believe they didn't put that Jokic amazing pass to Garry Harris at 1:10 game time (107-104) on highlights..Many other great Jokic/Murray highlights missed as well .This one kzbin.info/www/bejne/raa8n3iFfs55bJY

Kanter's inability to stay in front of Jokic is what lost them the game. Blazers are constantly leaving open shooters for Jokic to kick out. He's such a great passer if you cheat he finds the open man.
