I used to tape TV themes directly from the air onto cassette when I was a kid. Over 40 years later, my memory had gaps when I tried to recall all the show titles. "Eddie Capra" just filled in one of the gaps thanks to this video!

This show was part of NBC's Nine Bombs Cancelled of the 1978-79 season. 😄 Overall, it's my first time watching it, so thanks.

11:18 - Is that (late) comedian Paul Mooney as the arresting detective? I'd recognize that voice anywhere.

Meanwhile, in New York, the 11pm "NewsCenter4" on WNBC-TV was anchored at the time by Chuck Scarborough, then four years into joining the station. He would end up outliving and outlasting many of his colleagues and competitors (and, I might add, all of the anchors that came and went here at WMAQ). He retires this Dec. 12, only at Channel 4 longer than "Saturday Night Live."

Eric Braeden and Dennis Cole shortly after this co-starred together on The Young & The Restless. Cole was married to Jaclyn Smith (Charlie's Angels) at this time.

A lot of scripts that had been prepared for the superior "Ellery Queen" (1975-76) ended up being used on this short-lived show.

How many scripts of this show were recycled for "Murder, She Wrote"?

Why is the Bufferin commercial in the first commercial break truncated?

To prevent KZbin blocking.

"Major League Baseball Game of the Week"...on 9/30/1978, the same day ventriloquist Edgar Bergen passes on The Yankees would beat Cleveland 7-0, the Red Sox also would win 5-1 over the Blue Jays. (SOURCE: Baseball-Reference website). On Sunday, the Yanks would lose 9-2 to the then Indians and the Red Sox would beat Toronto 5-0 (to quote Dick Stockton; "We go to tomorrow."). It all sets up the big one-game playoff the next day, 10/2/1978 at Fenway Park (because of a coin toss as both teams were tied). If that classic game for the AL East pennant could be summed up in three words, it would be these...BUCKY "BLEEPING" DENT!

@@ModMokkaMatti - No, I meant in terms of ages of those cast as kid siblings. Remember, the "high school students" in the "Grease" movie were generally in their 20's and 30's in real life when they filmed it. It also begs the question: Who of them was Judy Strangis?
