@dustyboialex4 жыл бұрын
In the first season she was allowed to smile and her voice was more similar to her real voice
@tyrmorris81554 жыл бұрын
@@dustyboialex I disagree. Yes, she had to figure out a voice to match her character's personality and that took time, but her character was NEVER supposed to show emotion or smile, and that has been referred to constantly in every season. On the rare occasions when her character laughed, the other characters found it terrifying and intimidating. Generally her smiles are in reaction to another character and is not appropriate to a character who speaks in a monotone and whose expression is always deadpan.
@laravio4 жыл бұрын
Tyr Morris Yeah but Rosas character has grown a lot over the seasons and she is not as cold as she used to be, she helped Amy give birth and held on to a pram for ages so Amy could get her dream stroller even though she had already bought Amy one for her baby shower. She also cried when Gina left. She’s still closed off but not the same character that she was in like season 2. I think it makes sense for her character to smile when someone does something stupid.
@tyrmorris81554 жыл бұрын
@@laravio Where I DO agree with you that Rosa Diaz has shown growth over the years in many areas, humor is not one of those areas. From early seasons where Beatriz was laughing in the scene when Jake called everyone pigs & 'quit' the Force to the scene where her smiling was attributed to cold medicine inhibiting her ability to control her facial muscles, Rosa isn't supposed to smile or laugh. Deadpan. That's it. That's why her smiles & laughter are always in long shots or when she is out of focus, otherwise it would be edited out. Ask Ms. Beatriz yourself. She's on Twitter.
