I tried, since the 90’s in CA, to show people that in practical terms, granting illegal aliens a life here is like opening your home to add a dependent, a new, permanent guest. Who will need: 3 meals a day… a gallon of drinking water minimum per day… a place to sleep with bedding… a bathroom… towels, toiletries… clothes, shoes… transportation… a cell phone… medical needs and prescriptions … emergency care… dental care & coverage for any emergency dental ex. root canal surgery… visioncare and glasses… education and/or employment… English As A 2nd Language courses… I said: How likely would you still be fighting for illegal aliens to be allowed to stay if it were to mean that YOU inherit 42-year-old Agustín, who for the next 6 years is your new dependent, and whose living needs you are now fully responsible to financially cover, from your same paycheck. It was / is simple grade school math. I have done humanitarian volunteer work around the world and those that know me consider me very compassionate. But I also try to deal with reality, because without that, nothing built will be stable. We ALL want to end suffering. It's the same as Congress deciding to give themselves a raise while denying raising minimum wage for the regular worker. It's amazing how companies can claim that they can't afford to pay more, but have been reporting record breaking profits year-after-year for the past 30 years. How's that work? They don't want to raise minimum wage because it would cut into their profits. What else could it be? What the CEOs make in their bonuses could increase the blue collar workers wages. Even if it is only by a couple dollars more an hour that's a couple more dollars per hour you didn't have in your pocket before that. It's a problem when 98% of ALL WEALTH is in the control of 2% of the population who sit on the majority of it in tax havens. If they got the money and aren't spending it then you can't earn it. Back in the day, the wealth tax was 91% and there was no such thing as inflation.

This is not a discrepancy in rent, it’s a failure of deregulating staffing companies who charge exuberant prices to staff one nurse or one security guard or fix one toilet. It isn’t in the President’s hands, it’s Congressional Representatives in DC (Federal level) that have the power. Our representatives Republicans, Democrats, Independents have had decades to fix these policy issues-and they haven’t. They’re all too busy pointing fingers, arguing, and not doing their jobs. Immigration, Economic, Medical, Veterans Affairs, Military, Budget, Foreign Policy, Domestic Security, etc., it’s the Representatives responsibility to do their jobs. Presidents only have the ability to sign or veto these things. Executive orders aren’t laws. Hold them all accountable for the truth, facts and to do their jobs for all the people of the US.

The reason that the funds are not accounted for is because there are most likely some kickbacks and under the table deals happening. It does not take 400 million to take care of less than $6,000 people. That math is absurd. This is clearly a scheme to line the pockets of those with close ties to the city of Chicago leadership. By using out-of-state companies, they're able to attempt to not show accurate records. The city of Chicago has a medical District. The city of Chicago has ample housing. Why are we outsourcing jobs to out of state workers for these positions knowing that we will have to pay per diem to the house and feed them? When we could have hired from right here in the city of Chicago. Welfare has always been a scheme to line the pockets of the rich. The people who actually need the support and the resources are always given the crumbs. The only people getting rich here are those in cahoots with the city government.
