The complaints about Israel pumping sea water ino Hamas tunnels "doesn't hold water". Nearly all drinking water is supplied by Israel, but because Hamas dug up miles of water mains to turn into rockets, many Gazans have had very little potable water. If there was aquifer water available, it would have been exceedingly difficult for Hamas to build their tunnels.

On the Amtrak story: The Acela runs typically 75mph, they say. It's more like 'up to' that speed on some sections of track. The average speed is nowhere near that. Meanwhile, in Japan the bullet trains do in fact travel between stops at the speeds noted in the story; the only major slow down is when they're approaching the destination, and the local trains run at over 50mph between stops. America's metro rails are pretty good though. I'm American but spend half my time in Japan. I've ridden mass transit in five countries, and several US cities. Except for New York City where the train system often shuts down, particularly outside of Manhattan, I've never seen any problems with city trains in the United States.

The trains would benefit from the raise in minimum wage to 4 times the rent for one bedroom apartment local commute as legislated. People who enjoy trains are middle class and today we only have poor or rich. Nobody is wealthy enough or poor enough to use the train and bus systems.

What if train terminals were the round table and platforms below it were the square where trains come in and out? If that were possible the terminals can have a dome. Space for bird wildlife to enter and exit. And there would be light. Natural light. The dome is clear or oblique for light. There would be plant life. An indoor man-made park doubling as a Christmas village for Santa. The spaces the people wait for the trains leave a lot to be desired. Older terminals are sterile, cold environments. The terminals in the era of the 30s were far more interesting generating artistic design. Escalator, stairs, elevator, platform, were the 80s. The new infrastructure needs to have form and function in the 21st century and this will take a new mindset.

I no longer have a sore swollen throat I don't have any diarrhea stomach or bowel discomfort and that's with taking the new raspberry blackberry penicillin and taking only two doses of NyQuil and taking over the counter motion sickness tablets and some over-the-counter acetaminophen so my throat isn't swollen anymore I don't have laryngitis there isn't any raspiness in my voice but the biggest problem is fighting the concave raspberry blackberry penicillin does do that but that's also why I told doctors to prescribe prescription histonex because that also can prevent the concave
