Really such a miracle that her birth mother had a sudden change of heart. So happy for her!

This series had me bawling my eyes out.

It's kind of amazing that the Korean adoption form from the late 70's was printed in traditional Chinese characters. And that it was probably very common for interracial children (presumed to be fathered by American G.Is) to be placed in adoption, there are check boxes, in the birth parent ancestry row, for Korean-White, and Korean-Black.

Ben Tam maybe it was because she felt so much guilty about having left her daughter..I guess she might have felt like she couldn’t handle that situation😭 still sad though

Wouldn't it be nice if ethnic European American people had and were permitted to have without stigma this kind of pride and interest in their heritage

They do. What bizarro world do you live in? Have you ever heard of St. Patrick’s Day? In Salt Lake City, there’s a Greek festival every year (great food). You’ve never been to an Oktoberfest? Shall I continue with the various examples of American European pride, commemorations, etc. that take place in the U.S.?
