Many details that aren't being told. The schools said going to school was optional, this shows the students that volunteered to go to school. Yes, the races chose to go to school differently, but it's showing a different thing than they're trying to say here.

I'm black. There's a movement of black families away from public schools towards homeschooling because schools in poorer areas, black and white, have fewer resources and in general the education kids get in public schools is poor. There are also those who couldn't care less and let their kids do whatever as long as they don't have to deal with them being in trouble. They're not being honest. It's a whole lot more to it than what they're saying.

We started in May last year. I am a teacher in South Africa, it was scary at first. To be honest, we have very strict protocols. Children wear their masks, they maintain the 1.5m distance and sanitize all the time. They don't speak when they eat, that they can do outside only. I have 40 in my class, we rotate in order to have 20 in a class. I am more likely to catch Covid from people who visit at my home and don't mask up than I am likely to catch it at school. I have 6 colleagues who contracted COVID-19, they caught it from people who came into close contact with them at parties or home. Stay safe and wear a mask!!!

Teachers are loving staying home. I don't blame them. The school environment is much more challenging than the home environment. Given the behavior of some kids also I can see why teachers are opposed to going back to in-person teaching.

@Dench2020 I’m black and I agree. Nobody wants to talk about how black people keep birthing children into poverty. If you need government assistance from day one and can’t feed your kids with the free school lunch , white people didn’t cause this , the black parents did. Black people need to get their priorities and lives together before having children. You can’t keep complaining and being being a victim and constantly making bad choices.
