I LOVE THIS!! I'm a young woman who is trying to be a virtuous woman and have a diligent life. I'm working on my purpose for the LORD AND SAVIOR and what GOD is putting me through on this journey. There were days when I lack motivation, with doubt and procrastination because I'm afraid that I will disappoint my family. Like if I don't make a lot of money, getting a good job, buy rich merchandise ect. I'm working on being a business women as well. And it's hard when I'm mostly soft spoken and fearful. But I have great intelligence to care for others and bringing people back to CHRIST, because he is AWESOME and HE will NEVER leave YOU!!! Your purpose is near and treasures are near ladies!!! I'm extremely hurt, afraid, concerned, and worried for millennials and this generation. I pray for me and pray for them all.

And make sure if you are still single that the man you choose is a Godly man who don't compromise when it comes to God's word. Right on! Wanted to add that I am struggling with a disability and so I can't always keep the physical things, but I try. Please remember that true virtue is devotion to Christ and not everyone can physically do everything, even though we may desire to do so. I served children and adults with special abilities, for 30 years. Please pray for my physical health to be restored. Thank -you!

We are both equals in value but not in responsibilities. That’s what you seem to not understand. God values us the same but He gave both genders different responsibilities. God made sure to use the apostle Paul to write a command for the husbands to protect the wives of men from being abused. shadowgovernment3000 You realize he's basically saying that where there are wicked men there will never be a righteous woman??? There MIGHT be one upright man but never an upright woman with that type of man. Read verse 26...context is important here. He's saying that among a thousand men he found only one who was not wicked, but the women who those men were hanging around were all wicked women. Read verse 29 as well: "This alone I found, only God can make a man upright". The connotation here is that if a righteous woman tries to make a wicked man upright it won't work. His wickedness will just pervert her too and she herself will become like him. Use understanding buddy: Rahab, Ester, Ruth, Judith, Virgin Mary, the widow of Zarephath.... If God thought that Mary was upright enough to give birth to the Christ, and Christ allowed Mary Magdalene to be one of his followers then that clearly means that God does NOT think all women are wicked. 🤔

Behold Eärendil To be fair, a lot of men don't like the Lord's teachings either. They want the woman to submitt to him but won't love her the way Christ loves His Church and gave His life for it. For one example, a lot of guys will try to pressure a woman into premarital and will break it off with her if she won't do it, turn around, and run if she ends up pregnant. Or, he'll have a woman sacrificing everything for him, yet he still looks at other woman or look at porn or something. If a man wants a Proverb 31 wife, then he needs to love her and cherish her the way Jesus would if he had a wife when He was in human formation. Jesus would not have looked at other women for one example...

If you do, know that it was a miracle of the Almighty! I believe the reason the Apostle Paul said it’s better to remain single is because the overwhelming majority of the time a spouse is a detriment to the work of The Kingdom, but not if you find a truly virtuous woman!

@On SB I'm a woman, not a man! I don't wear makeup because I feel like society sort of demands it, but that's only my choice. But if you want to wear makeup, that's fine. It's your choice. NothingButTheTruth​ The good news is that she just became polite. To stop her sex with-holding and silent treatment I cut trees for my customers and laid them down on our backyard 2 months ago. I also collected the furniture and metal that our neighbors threw out and put them in our backyard. Ana finally talked to me because the City of Deltona came by and told us to clean up our backyard by June 1st, 2017 or we would be fined. So Ana finally gave me what I needed and this week we will clean up our backyard. After 16 years I finally learned of a way to communicate with my bully wife. Yesterday she was helping me saw the tree branches into smaller pieces. I used the Fiskars small axe and she used the Katana Boy 500 made by Silky. I behave this way because Ana doesn't let the our children obey me. I believe children should do chores and Ana believes children are to be worshipped and to let the children spend hour after hour on the internet. When I told our daughter about 3 years ago to help me wash dishes after dinner Maya was about 13 years old and she just walked to her room and ignored me. I told Ana to help me and Ana said: "Leave her alone! She is a teenager." But Maya has been a bully to me since she was 5 years old. Usually Ana lies to the police and gets me incarcerated, but if she had called the police on me about the messy dead trees in our backyard and the rats or mice and the garbage furniture and metal then the police may have incarcerated me again but she still would have to pay someone to clean up our backyard. Also the police finally arrested Maya 2 years ago when she threw a Tupperware plastic container at me when I took away her phone so we have stopped calling the cops on each other since then. Of course the cops unfairly locked me up 3 times prior to Maya being arrested. Now as a man I know that I must have cameras to prove my innocence. The good news is that Ana will help me clean up our backyard and this is good marriage therapy. If she withholds sex or gives me the silent treatment or starts yelling or talking in a bad tone of voice at me then I'll just go cut down some trees and collect the furniture our neighbors throw out and place them in our front yard this time because I don't want to wait 2 months for sex again. Whichever neighbor called the city to report us did me a big favor. God finally gave me the wisdom I searched for so that I could communicate with my bully wife. I think she will become a Proverbs 31 Wife now. My grandpa was a rich man because as a child before he was given breakfast he had to feed the dog, the cat, and the horse. I believe children should be respectful to their parents. My grandpa got rich because he had self discipline. My grandpa was a worker bee. God taught me to be intelligent through Booker T. Washington's book Character Development. He said about Intelligence: "If the floor is dirty then sweep it, mop it, wash the mop, and put everything away. Nobody should have to tell you what to do every 2 minutes." "At this school we won't teach you the name of some mountain in Africa. Here we teach 3 things: Intelligence, Skilled Hands, and Morality." "Skilled hands: Carpentry, plumbing, electricity, cooking, bricklaying, farming, etc" "Morality: Don't steal. Don't smoke. Don't do drugs. Don't drink alcohol. Don't gamble. Don't go out at night. Don't go with a prostitute. Don't live in a city. The countryside is better. Do help somebody." So Ana doesn't want our son to learn to cook. I went away to college at 17 and I didn't know how to boil an egg because my mother had always cooked for me and she had forbidden me to touch her expensive pots and pans except to wash them. The college cafeteria was closed on Saturdays and Sundays and I had zero money or food. My son is 12 and doesn't want to learn to cook. I feed him before he drops, but when Ana cooks dinner I verbally bother Ana, my wife, until she finally tells our son to come help her make dinner. Ana doesn't want our kids to learn carpentry. I just built my first birdhouse. This was a huge achievement for me. I am teaching myself carpentry because I have been homeless 5 times because I didn't earn enough money at my jobs in the past and I noticed that carpenters have 2 cars and 2 or more houses. Ana helps me do carpentry sometimes and other times she hides my tools. The police man said that my wife did not have to obey me, but that my children do have to obey me so Ana helps me with carpentry because our kids don't want to learn and Ana wants me to leave our kids alone. I just want Ana and the kids to be successful adults. Ana refuses to read the bible so I have to be creative. 10 years ago our roommate moved out and his tv didn't fit into his car which was full of his things so he told us: "I'll be back in a couple of hours to pick up my tv," and Ana told him: "NO! YOU WILL TAKE IT NOW!" Then he said: "IF MY TV IS NOT HERE THEN I WILL BREAK YOUR MINIVAN'S WINDOW!" (And my thought was: "HOORAY! Someone finally stood up to Ana the bully) A few hours later he picked up his tv. A month later Ana's minivan's window was broken. I used to say to myself: "Ana just doesn't have any wisdom or politeness." I was a peacemaker and too polite. My brain at 40 was the polite and obedient brain of a 5 year old child. Lisa A. Romano on youtube explained how I was mentally abused as a child. My mother forbid me to make noise or ask her any questions. Also I was required to obey her instantly. Later the bullies noticed that I would obey them instantly without thinking. My first wife was a bully and told me when I moved in with her to not bring any books because she had asthma. So later she showed me her albums and then she told me to show her mine and I told her: "But you told me not to bring any books so I threw it away." Children must have an adult to teach them things. My dictator mother taught me to be ignorant and not to approach her. My grandpa, her father, had a look on his face that said: "How dare you look at me! Keep away from me." Also don't lie to children because it makes them less intelligent. I caught my mother telling lies to me and to other people and as a child I kept trying to believe her. I "voted against my conscience" again and again. I disobeyed my own beliefs and opinion and obeyed the bullies and everyone. Now I keep away from people and I limit my time with the bullies. I have boundaries. I do have friends, but they don't bully me anymore. God bless you and those that surround you.

Why is it so hard for a virtuous woman to be equally yoked with a virtuous man? Why are virtuous man far and few between, or at least very hard to find or never find me?

I was once told that the original word was not virtuous but valiant. Apparently, the Bible scholars didn't have the guts to insert that word because it went against their perception of women a the time of the translation. Nevertheless, virtuousness is not to be ignored. Any woman whether single, married, divorced or widowed can become Christlike as she follows Him.

My church of Christ is very biblical, our only authority is the bible and not the pastor, and he himself says it. The only thing that you will hear there is the unaltered word of God. Well, one of my church sisters recently said to me that "every single church is misogynist, yeah, even our church. It's like we can only take care of our kids and do the housework". And I know more christian women who think the same way. "We can't even teach the bible to men", etc. They seem to only focus on what they can't do, they complain that in this day and age the church should change that to go along with the times, to which I always respond "it is the word of God, he has a different role for both of us, nobody is better than the other, we are just different and meant to do different things, ideally speaking. But they don't care, it's like they get triggered with what God says. Where do some women get the idea that the ideal christian woman is only allowed to take care of the kids and do housework anyway? Read proverbs 31:10-31, you women have a wonderful role in this world. God describe the perfect woman as someone not only loving and caring, but strong, hard working, smart, organizer, praised by her husband and kids, more valuable than a precious stone... I don't see anything wrong with any of that. I would love to marry someone like that and do my best everyday to be worthy of her love. I don't understand why some women say things like "I don't need no man, I'm better by myself". Well lady, maybe you had a bad experience before, but that doesn't mean you have to stay away from a healthy relationship. Personally, having a family is one of the things that I look forward the most after being born again 10 months ago.

I always knew I was different. (in a good way) Being a teen I never dressed to get a guys attention, ect. Even as a teenage I always like up early to get my chores done. When my husband met we weren't looking to date. But 3 months later we started dating. 6 years later and as a mother and wife, (2year old and 3month old) I understand. I never knew how I view/what I do is related to this. :)

Apparently, In Proverbs, the word virtuous was inserted instead of valiant because at the time theologians couldn't imagine women being valiant. I don't know if that is true because I heard this 40 years ago when feminism was in its infancy.

How can one woman do all that? She creates a business, she delivers to merchants, she bears children, she runs a full household, she cooks every meal, she makes her own fabric and creates clothes for herself and family, she stays up late and gets up bfore dawn, searches outside for the needy, cares for her children and husband, (child care is a full time job), she is a wise man because she still has time to study God's truth, she is an advisor, she never is idle! She brings in the money, and her husband gets to sit at the gates with the elders. Well, what does the husband do? Well??? This woman is doing everything. She might as well be the man of the family as she certainly is the one in charge. I want to see a better teaching on this. AND what is a virtuous man? How come no mention of that is here? The woman is the big time helper, but what is the man doing to help his virtuous, hard working, slave wife. Something is off in this teaching, not the scripture. Does anyone know where a better teaching is?

If men are immoral, that seems to be fine, they get a free pass. But Eve hands Adam an apple (of which he ate) and we're all doomed to hell.

I think it would be helpful to remember the scripture that begins with, "WHO can FIND a virtuous and capable wife?" implying that perfection is hard to find, but it can be pursued if someone (whether man or woman) is willing to fear God with all their heart. From my knowledge and understanding, the book of Proverbs is inspired by King Solomon, who happened to be a very prosperous king. The reason for that wealth was because he chose the "fear of the Lord" or "wisdom" above all things. Proverbs is all about wisdom. So I believe this passage was an analogy that he used to conclude what wisdom looks like when applied in a person's life.

sorry, but his interpretation of scripture is totally wrong... he is a false teacher.. ..He doesnt understand what is the true meaning of this scripture..it speaks of clothing herself with the blood of Christ, which is the scarlet robe, and with faith in God, who will protect her from cold winds, and she teaches this and plants seeds about God in her family, feeding her household with the word of God, which is the true bread of life, and is planted in the household hearts as a seed.. the interpretion is much longer than that..but i gave it as an example...the virtuous woman is not the one who goes and gathers money and looks after the whole family by material things etc etc... the meaning here is spiritual..she works with her hands..meaning she shares the word of God with others, this way making people to repent and come to the Kingdom of God..this way acumulating true riches in heaven, where thieves and volwes cant steal, where moth doesnt eat etc... The scripture here says, that she gets her food from afar!! Meaning her food is the Word of God!! and she lives by it, and her household..Yet, this man is saying she doesnt just get any food, but she gets the best of the best, who knows from where... like where do you get it, what kind of food is that???? what if i am poor and dont have the money for the best quality food??honestly... what this man is teaching here is wordliness...and we know that the world is an enmity against God...!!! Study the Word with a prayer, that the Lord would give you understanding! May Jesus bless you, and give you discernment, to discern false teachers from the true teachers! Amen

I have no problem being submissive to the word of God & my Hubby, but all the things this dude presents, there must be 35-40 hours in a day! Whosoever desires the Office of a bishop. Acts 14:23, "elders" G4245 (elder man, elder WOMAN). Acts 20:28, "overseers" G1985 (Elder of a Christian church).
