Trying to install now. I have a Moroso tank from 2 years ago and I cant get the bottom clamp on the hose to go over the new tank. It’s too big. The bottom spout needs to be reduced in size just a little bit. I’ll try again tonight.

I didn't have any trouble getting the clamp back on mine, perhaps they changed the size over the last couple of years. You might have to get one a different style of hose clamp if the stock one won't work.

I had trouble also ; took off the clamp and replaced it with a worm clamp - much easier.

I think I just answered my own question... I swapped the tank on my new Miata (2011 SE) and I also could not fit the clamp over the bottom inlet on the tank. I also found the clamps on the top hoses were loose and it leaked. The ones on my 2012 fit fine and there were no issues. I had to replace all three clamps on the 2011 with better ones and now it works fine, no leaks.

Does the drain hose connect to anything???

Other than the overflow tank, no. It just drains to the ground.

Just changed mine today. Did you add more coolant or distilled water to get the fluid to show up in the window? I put back what I took out and there isn't any visible in the window.

I just added a little bit of distilled water, it really didn't take much and I don't think it will make a big difference. I took the car on an all day drive in 90+ degree weather and had no issues. You want to fill it so the level is about half way up the sight gauge.

Did you have to burp the system at all? Any issues with air in the lines ?

I didn't have to burp the system, no. I only removed the coolant from the tank itself and made sure not to let the lines below drain out.

Necessary to run it without the cap to burp it or nah she's right?

I didn't burp either of mine that I did, but I didn't remove any more coolant than necessary.

@@MiataChannel oh right sweet. I bought 5l of penrite 8 year coolant and all other fluids and plugs in prep for a major service soon...just waiting on the coolant tank and some tail light gaskets, then I'll do the tank at the same time as a service.

My white 2012 car was missing that nut. I didn't realize it until I redid this on my black 2011.

tha majority of the coolant I took out was from the tank, and I was careful not to let the hoses drain. I didn't really have any issues with getting air in the system.
