I started with Dynasty Warriors 3. And my first ever platinum was Dynasty Warriors 7. That was a grind. I loved the game and knew everyone’s name. I tried 8 but never went back for the platinum.

Origins is my first Dynasty Warriors game, im almost done with my first playthrough and man its a ride, this game gave me something back that i havent experienced in years, a game that feels like a game.

My first ever Platinum was Dynasty Warriors 6: Empires back in September of 2010! Needless to say, I will be going for the Paltinum on this game some day soon! Congrats on the Plat!

got it now too, played hero on first playthrough but lowered the difficulty for the duel tournament and Chi Bi at the end. I would say Chi Bi is possible on hero but incredibly tight. Lu Bu on hero was tough especially at the end where you have to lower his 8 fortitude levels otherwise he would spam it. but it was just a matter of trial and error. on ultimate he was way easier because I basically did everything else beforehand. was a really fun platinum

What got me into these games was capcoms Devil Kings. Same hack and slash style but it played a little slower on ps2.

It is definitely shorter because you don't get to do it with every character, but it's still a decent length, and there's 3 paths too ofc :)

I apologize in advance if this sounds harsh, but felt it was necessary due to posting your build. The hyper defense focus likely hurt more then helped in that fight, two other minor critiques being your Arts choices, Power Shot is arguably the best interrupt in the game solely due to being ranged while also being faster than any other SP in the game. and two, if using halbered using the penultimate skill of it is so much better then Ice Luan its laughable due to its unique property, if distanced correctly for the same cost you can interrupt and break ALMOST ANY ENEMY IN ONE USE. The only exceptions being Lu Bu and Wei Finale Guan Yu due to having 8 bravery. Personally I'd also recommend not using Halberd against Lu Bu due to the animation recovery on certain attacks is brutal and can get you killed if mistimed due to a lack of cancleable moments. Personal recommendations would be either sword or spear due to having reliable lauchers for more reliable damage. Please do not take this as me attacking you in any form as that is not my intention, this is mearly ment as more constructive criticism than anything. Also started with 4, still have my copy of 5 and 5XL, owned a couple of em on Xbox own 8XLC all of the Orochi Games.

Hey mate. Trying to do this platinum. Finished Wei's storyline and currently doing Wu. Grinding for weapon proficiency. Is Ultimate Warrior really difficult? Or is it bearable when you're Lvl 101?

It's a decent challenge but once you're level 80+ it's doable! Find some strong battle arts to use too, and items. I think I was maybe level 97 or something by the time I finished it all😇 Lu Bu at xiapi was horrific though haha but it's more about learning his move set

How to get missable 1 grade weapon? I still don't get 1 grade staff weapon, maybe bc I played with hero difficult since start playing. I also trying play in chapter 1 and 2 with historian difficult but I still don't get it wth, the game gimme 2 grade instead the 1 grade lol. The weapon also not sale in shop. Only those weapon left and my weapon is complete

Hmm, I'm pretty sure you can buy them all in the shop still, even grade 1's, try changing to later chapters so the shop has everything in it

When you started your second playthrough cleaning up the other faction endings, did you play on normal, or hero?

I had it on normal, I tried hero a few times to practice for ultimate but it felt a bit too slow for my liking still, I enjoy being able to take out officers at a decent rate during the grindy parts😇
