NC1 NSX Battery Discharge Fix - USB Audio Unit Update

My battery got discharged. Not sure the cause since it was 1 year old, but I did not have it on a battery tender, and I only drove it once a week. My NSX is a 2017 and falls under the VIN for the USB update, so this could be the cause. I did replace the battery and installed a battery tender and have had no issues so I will report if I do and then I will do the update.

I had this SB performed on my 2017 when the car was brand new. (500 km / 300 miles) I have the same 2017 original battery today. as well I had SB to change the CDMA to 4G LTE telematics done at the same time. I also use the NSX (Ctek) battery maintainer.

On Acura's my garage site there is a notice that 2017 NSX uses 3G and is phased by network carriers so Acura Link will not work anymore on 2017. I suppose CDMA to 4G will solve the issue but why Acura did not post that is terrible. What is SB number?

@DriversTherapy only once and that was when I was doing the transmission and differential fluid changes. It sat on the lift for 2 days as I was not in a rush and after that second day the car started but it started throwing errors on the dash. That was the original battery from 2017 and I always had it on a trickle until that 2 day slot with no charger

I have a 2017 and although I don't have the battery draw issue, this may be the same update my dealer did for the annoying "finickiness" when using Apple CarPlay. It didn't fix it 100%, but it is much, much better now. FYI...

If mine isn’t on a tender for a few days, my car starts to flicker and headlights and taillights turn on. Really weird, going to try this update. Even after replacing the battery, still had the issue of not holding charge. So odd.

If it ain’t broke don’t fix it. New battery, trickle charger, you got it fixed… unless it happens again. Then update it.

Apple Car Play has been very unstable and I hope this will improve it. I was told this is an Android based system and I believe it since Android Auto works just fine

I’m not sure the impact on the Apple car play system but I hope it does help since it’s an update for the audio system itself.

I have all the time battery Charger on my car battery. No issues even after ywars after & my battery is like new. It will take care of your battery 247. Great to hear you have fixed issues also with that usb...🫡
