This theory always forgets one key difference between the situations the fights are taking place in. Lee wearing leg weights to get extra training during a promotional exam is different than Might Guy handicapping himself in the midst of a war that brought all 5 major villages together to fight for the fate of the world as they knew it. Even if Guy does normally wear leg weights, to think he had his leg weights on during the war let alone during the fight with Madara is just nonsensical

My issue with the fight is that it looked like Madara was free from the air pressure of evening elephant way before he used the truth seeker orbs to surround himself. They stated that evening elephant that Guy becomes faster with each strike which means by the time Madara was trapped by the three air pressure, Guy should be at a speed where he was already landing a punch directly on Madara and yet. Guy was apparently too far away and moving so slowly that Madara could recover, set up a defence and launch a counter attack at Guy. This also creates the issue that Guy should be at a speed that Lee's sixth gate should've even keep up let alone Gaara's sand transporting Kakashi up to the fight or Kakakshi being able to activate Kamui on the truth seeking barrier.

If his mass is converting to energy, it's likely changing to thermal energy which causes the evaporation of his blood and partial disintegration. Hope this helps!

I fear u have misunderstood the lorentz factor as while increasing the velocity does increase the mass of might guy, it also increases the mass of the leg weights meaning that they still weigh hundreds of times his body weight, no matter what his body weight is

There is a limit to the peak energy Guy could produce. So following "E=mc²" with weights he would be slower, and without them - a bit faster. BUT THE ENERGY OF THE KICK WOULD STAY THE SAME!! (cause energy does not appear from nowhere. In case of Guy it comes from within the body) Imagine yourself putting on the weights. Even without going into relativistic effects, it can already be argued that the leg weights wouldn't have changed the energy of the night guy kick. This is because the KE formula works in both directions. So it doesn't just let you calculate how much KE the kick has once it's moving. It also lets you calculate how much energy Might Guy put into the kick. And we can also rearrange the formula to determine how fast a mass will move based on the amount of energy used to move it. In other words, the KE of night guy isn't really determined by his mass or his velocity. It's determined by how much energy he put into it. Changes to mass and velocity do cancel each other out despite one being squared and the other not. If you half the mass, then it will move 4 times as fast; if you triple the mass then it will move 1/9th as fast. The KE doesn't change unless you change the amount of energy put into the system (or if there are inefficiencies in the system).

I've got a few issues with the theory: - first, lets put all the ignored implications, notably biological ones, asides when an object moves at near light speed. E.g. Might Guy would rather be Mashed Guy or if he hit Madara at that Momentum, they would both fly into outer space (unless Madara weighs more than a black hole lol) etc. - second, even looking at Rock Lee, 5 ton weigths per leg would be VERY impractical. Think of him standing on a non-ground-floor, he'd literally destroy everything he walks on, etc. etc. So even if we assume he would biologically be capable of moving at that weigth, the environment would be very much not the same. Or just think of footsteps. On an "average" earthy ground, he'd sink in to his knees or even further with every step. So that's a pretty overlooked aspect too. - third, the Lorentz factor is, as you said, a FACTOR. Thus multiplying the weigth. lets assume gamma=1000 and m_0 is 1kg, then m' would be 1ton. But if m_0 is 1ton, m' would be 1ton*1000=1000 tons. not 1ton+1000*1kg=2tons. So going from Guy weighting around 100kg (without) to 10tons (with weigths) would make VERY MUCH a HUGE difference. It is not at all "a few tons are negligeable when the Lorentz factor is high enough". Also as a side note, if you take 1kg*(1m/s)², that is NOT 1 kilojoule, that is only 1 joule, without "kilo". Kilograms is the base unit of weigth in the SI, not grams. Finally, lets just face it. Writers are most often not physicists/engineers, and also "big numbers = big good". Arguing much about physics in any kind of fantasy is either a humongous plot hole or it just doesnt work out. There is no way to argue mathematically werther Guy could have (not) had the power to defeat madara, when physics would literally have so many other points where the maths straight up dont math out in any way possible. "But it's fantasy", either you allow physics, or you consider it a work of art that is unbound of any phyiscs as we know them. In almost every case, not even the Author of fiction could tell you what physics apply and how, since there is no way to knoe the mathematical "rule set" that would lead to exactly the result the author was writing. Either the Art or the Science will have to take a hit for the team, and there's no way around. never.

If anything, what is more impressive is that rock lee is technically doing a lateral raise with ~10k lbs on each arm. Anyone who works out knows doing lateral raises with any axcesive amount of weight gets really hard

Assuming he was wearing them, which is kind of dumb, I still think it would have made a massive difference mathematically. Sure, you can say the decreased mass and increased velocity would be small changes either way that would balance out, but man oh man did that curve on the graph look exponential. Moving even the slightest bit closer to the speed of light would shift you the slightest bit closer to actual infinity in terms of mass. That’s how mathematical limits work, such as the limit of the speed of light. The closer you approach to it, the further the scale goes tangentially as you progress towards it.

I feel like my guy weights on his legs were the reason that his kick did so much damage to begin with. Without those thousands and thousands of pounds moving at that incredible speed I don’t think that kick would’ve done much to him if he didn’t have the weights on.

the only reason you can see it with a sun or something similar is the light factor of the plasma surrounding it showing the flow of gravity. you could essentially create the same effect with a spinning magnet and luminous magnetic dust. You would just need a high speed camera and the spinning magnet and the luminous magnetic dust.
