Nick, I think you’ve misread the panel. Boruto says “he’s placed limiters on your offensive abilities , and he’s adjusted your defensive and regenerative abilities TO ABOVE MAXIMUM levels.” The way I’m reading this is, Amado’s weakened you offensively and put that power into your defense so that you’ll survive longer which is what he wants. Fixing this nerf will probably make him more capable to take on the shinju but at a bigger risk to himself. (Which also nicely makes for more drama and stakes for the story)

I think Amado is Shibai partner from another time what I think happened is they got into it over power and Shibai beat Amado and then changed everything including him into a human making a new reality. If it’s true Shibai created this world then it explains how Amado seems to be so smart and know about the Otsosuski the way he does. And why everything seems to be going his way it’s because he has a shinjutsu which is helping him see his destiny to reverse back to becoming a god. Using code Isshiki Kawaki everyone to reach that final step of resurrection but Boruto seems to be changing his fate so he can’t make the proper steps but no matter he knows he will reach this goal. I also believe that if he is a Otsosuski turned human that he is Kawaki grandfather and Delta is his mother. Okay so Amado as this series Danzo makes some sense, but it's very important to note, Kashin Koji knows the future of many different timelines, timelines where Amado probably isn't a big factor, because if he is, then Boruto already knows about the threat of Amado. This means Amado being a threat either needs to be way down the line, in a way that Kashin Koji wouldn't even bother looking that far, or Kashin Koji is still on Amado's side and helping manipulate things the way he wants them to go. I don't think Amado is an Otsutsuki. I think he's a human, with a daughter.

After finishing this last video I think I have the final piece to the puzzle of this theory: Shibia was in love with Akebi and was the thing keeping him tied to this dimension. Somehow she died, maybe in a battle between Amado and Shibia and then Shibia ascended. Amado is trying to Revive Akebi in hopes of bringing shibia back to either kill him or feed him to a chakra tree to attain his powers and get his body back shibia is good and amado is evil. only thing is what is his true end goal with shibia’s powers, maybe you could figure that out.

The way I’m thinking of it is why would Amado not place limiters on Kawaki?? If one of Amado’s goals was to make sure that Jigen was delt with, why would he one: risk his will to plague the world again if gone un checked; two: have a person who has the strength of Jigen, that could rival Jigen , not be held is some type of check. For if memory serves, Code with is limiters removed could, once upon a time, spell the end of the world; Code being someone who not only carries the Will of Jigen, but holds powers that is on par with Jigen’s. So knowing all of this, and being subjected to another being that has the persons abilities and battle IQ of the person who he wanted gone, why would he not want to put a leash on the potentially wild animal that he released of his own accord? Think Amanda Waller, just presumably with more care and compassion to the being that he put the leash upon. As to why Amado didn’t let Kawaki know about the limiters upon the knowledge of a greater threat? Self preservation. A wild animal unchained with the knowledge of being chained in the first place often goes for the chainer first, and asks questions second. Think Sasuke. The 3rd theory does have some merit. Black Zetsu shaped the Uchiha's entire understanding of their own power when he altered their sacred text. Who's to say Amado didn't do the same? I bet Amado was able to “predict” certain things because he’s got eyes inside “every” cyborg aka Kashin Koji’s power of future vision is being watched by Amado in order for him to predict things. P.s I kinda wonder if that’s another reason Koji’s fate has been tied to the village like maybe it’s not just the village his fate is tied to like imagine a fight between a creation and it’s creator.

I like that last theory a lot because it could be skewed to be amado. It isn't the final villain, but he's the reason that shibai is reincarnated. In that everything that amado has done so far has set up the series of events that lead to the reincarnation. That he fine, tuned, everything he did to lead to certain emotional limiters or situations. That cause a certain reaction in the karma to pull him back to this dimension. And the reason that boruto will need to defeat shibai is to save kawaki his brother. PS sorry for all of the possible misspellings, not too versed in boruto and if this seems way too outlandish, it's probably because I haven't seen anything in two blue vortex and the only things that I know are from Nick's videos.

Amado might just be shibai, would make sense for how he easily got the cells. He might have the otsutsuki illness that the sage and Naruto got, and he’s trying to pass on his genes to reincarnate later.

I have 1 explanation. Amado is from the future or has seen the future. He saw kawaki kill boruto and that ruins his plans. He either goes back in time or if he seen the future then he takes that knowledge and puts multiple limiters on kawaki and code. Yes code too. The limiters unlocked on code aren’t the only limiters on code. He’s stronger yes but can be even stronger. Amado knew this but since code did get alittle stronger he had no reason to question it.
