Twins and DNA: IN 2003 it was generally considered fact that twins have the same DNA. However Criminal and Paternity cases involving twins caused researchers to develop more accurate tests. Today, twins can be identified, but the cost is incredibly expensive. [New York Times article from 2019]

Just a bit of trivia for you, Michael Weatherly's (Tony) father was the leading importer of Swiss Army Knives and the Swiss Army Knife is mentioned several times by Tony through out the series.

Despite what tv and movies would have people believe, most crimes are crimes of passion rather than premeditated. That's why there's so much crime, it's just that it's the premeditated stuff that gets publicized unless the passion crimes are really horrific. PS: Of course we want you to continue. There isn't enough NCIS reactions on youtube.

17:13 - one would think that when you have a perfect suspect with a visual alibi, first move would be to check if there are any siblings that can pose as the suspect. It's extremely rare but usually can be ruled out quickly.

Why is there still so much crime? Well... thats a long and very complicated list of issues. So I'll stick to a single point on this. Yes it is far harder to get away with crime now than it was 100 years ago. But it's actually also still pretty easy to get away with it... unfortunately. You have to remember that crime shows, in general, more often than not, will present the much positive side and will show that evidence can be 100% accurate. This is false. For example, usually these types of shows will have the whole fingerprint match 100%. That, however, in reality rarely (and i do mean rarely) ever happens. Itll be like 20-80% match most of the time. Because fingerprints left on random surfaces are usually smuged and not clean. And it's pretty simlar with most other evidence gathering, which is why it's rare for a cop or forensic scientist that goes to court to present the evidence, will say it's a complete match. They more likely say, its a strong match, or the evidence indicates it seems to be theirs. This illusion that Hollywppd presents is so bad that its been nicknamed the CSI effect and judges have had to warn juries about and against judging on the CSI effect. As it does more harm than good. That said, i still love NCIS and love for you to keep watching.

Crime evolves as well, considering how many internet scams there are. How many times do you hear rumours in your neighborhood about actual physical break-ins these days? It's a lot less than 30 years ago, let me tell you.
