A big reason for this show's accuracy and success in general was that it had the support of the real NCIS and Navy. This show helped put NCIS on the map where as before, as mentioned in the show, it didn't get a lot of respect or general knowledge beforehand.

FYI, this show started a year before Lost premiered. Don't be surprised by the number of Lost cast members guest starrin one this show. I want to believe show was a sudo audition for Lost

It certainly will get even more interesting as the show goes on. You will love the characters. I especially love gibbs as a character and his backstory. It's complex and heartbreaking. Kate and Tony seem to have a sibling rivalry. Constantly bickering and harassing each other and Gibbs as the father figure.

FBI Agent Fornell was not Kates boss. He was just one of the agents fighting over jurisdiction over the body on Air force one. Its surprisingly scarery how vulnerable a countries infrastructure is. Which makes me glad that most terrorist are really stupid. Because they could do so much more damage if they were smart.

This is such a great show. I remember the first season people I talked to kept confusing it with CSI. But NCIS just has more flair and the stories are less repetitive. As you can see from this episode you can do a lot more with the navy connection than just solving weekly murders.
