I have a Thunderbird 350. There was a loud tappet noise while riding my bike suddenly. My regular mechanic who services my bile told me that it would cost 9000 rupees to stop the loud tappet noise. He told me that the crank bearings, hydraulic tappets and the valves may have to be replaced. Your video helped me understand how the engine works. I checked and found the oil level very low (about 1.3 litres). I changed the oil, filter and opened the Cam covers to check the oil flow. There was oil flow to the cams. Now my bike is silent and functioning properly. Thank you. Keep up this good work.

Awsome work...I have a similar problem with my Electra engine sound is wierd..like engine makes more sound than stock silencer...have asked my mechanic and per him this sound develops after some time...I have been trying to visit your workshop but Friday's it's closed and that's when I have week off...hope to get appointment soon and get it checked....again great job done...

BS3 model or BS4???? Generally GT 535's engine is little noisy no need to worry about and mostly people get confused about tappet noise and timing gear noise. If the noise is too loud then you need to worry else don't worry for timing gear noise, it's just the design flow by RE's UCE engine. You can get the timing gear set (meanwhile check the O ring as shown in the video)in service center, if you worry too much. But again after sime time that timing gear noise will occur as i said UCE engine design flaw. But mostly 99%case it's not the tappet noise. I also own Continental GT 535 forest green colour BS 3 model and i also had the same query then i did research made friends with a RE mechanic and also had knowledge being a mechanical engineer. Trust me bro it's just psychology, as i used to worry a lot and been to that place you are known. Just use better engine oil (dont use Liquid Gun,) motul 5100 15w50 c(hange after 4000km) or (Motul 300V change after 6000 Km). And about missing problem check if there is any crack on both of the breather pipes. One that connects filter box to RH cover and another one that connects filter box to all the way to the front of the under Tank. Change both of them if there is ant crack in it. it will slove the engine ideling as well as missing issue. Generally RE breather pipes are so cheap quality it gets crack so i have found a "juggad", i used half inch diameter PVC rubber water pipe. It works amazingly and now i never has to change it ever.
