GO's music video being an indie film aesthetic, "passion project" is actually a really interesting comment because they filmed it in like, 2-3 days out in LA back in 2018! the filming was also pretty freestyle iirc; i remember they said that the shot of renjun in the trees 2:20 was taken randomly because the director thought it would look cool (which it did!). the overall MV concept was rebellious, free-spirited teenage boys and that really comes across visually as well as musically through the actual track. GO has always been one of my top nct dream tracks/MVs because it's so unique and "raw".

OH also that super fun shot of them doing the choreo inside a subway station is so cool, totally fits the vibe of young boys out on the town lol. they also said that in the shot of them jumping over the subway turnstiles, they prepaid so they didn't jump over illegally, haha.

Yep!! The theme for go is a bit about young rebel!! The cute thing is this song is included in NCT 2018 album, a collective work from NCT 2018 (there were 18 members back then😀) and this was a project which they kinda switched things up with NCT 127 that brought “TOUCH” a sweet song, sth that was a part of Dream’s branding and Dream got “GO” which have 127 kinda sound and aesthetic. This was Jaemin’s (the one with silver puffer jacket) first project after chewing gum (he had hiatus for 2 year-ish bcs of health issues😢) fans were totally shocked to see Jaemin’s transformation from Chewing Gum straight to Go😂😂😂

Candy is legendary song. Almost all of kpop boy group from 2nd gen to 4th gen do cover when they are rookie. And this official remake. There is special project for this comeback only for nctzen NCT Dream fans with their white angel mom/family who stan H.O.T. And the MC is Kangta, H.O.T member.

Candy is indeed a positive song because like you said the guy talked about falling behind, compare her with other girl sometimes and thought they better break up for her sake, he is insecure and plan the whole first phrase as the break up talk. Then they met and when he sees her, he saw that there is no other words that can come out beside "I love you". That also why in the last chorus, he keeps emphasizing that he'll say it again that he loves her and never leave her while keep trying to be better. I don't think this is negative because the guy pov here didn't say anything bad about the girl and all the thought is just inside his head. All this overthinking just end up with him telling her that he loves her.

And I'm so pleased that "Go" is your favorite nct dream's song, because it's mine too (at least from all the title tracks)! Lemme humbly recommend you watch nctmentary film, I'm sure you'll like it since you seem to enjoy deep-diving in theories and lore and prefer dark vibes (for me nctmentary was unsettling in a subtle, barely noticeable way, but the feel surely was there). NCTmentary is a cinematic masterpiece, and I believe that GO was shot by the same director, so pls pls pls react to this! Even if you watch it off-camera, it'd be so amazing to know your thoughts about it

Until Hello Future came around, Go was my favorite Dream track. Loved them all dark and angsty! 😄 At some point you'll need to react to 127's Touch, which was the concept Dream traded with them for NCT 2018. SM recently remastered the original Candy mv, if you haven't seen it already. They've come a long way production-wise. LOL The individual shots of each members is sooooo classic SM it hurts.
