NCT Dream are supposed to be the more lighthearted side of NCT, because they debuted very young. Which is why a lot of their songs sound more playful and bright. For several years after their debut in 2016, only two members (Mark and Haechan who are ironically on each end in of the line in this video) were in the other units of NCT. I think maybe after 2020 or 21 the other members were in some NCT U releases

The first song, Candy, is a cover/remake of an older song from the 90s by first gen kpop group H.O.T. NCT is under the same company as them (SM Entertainment) and other SM artists have made covers/remakes of older groups songs.
