NCT foreign member's korean fluency level imo : 1. Johnny and Renjun : the closest with native level fluency. Hard to tell they're foreigner except in some moments like when Johnny doesn't know some cultural reference and Renjun when he misspell his writing/text 2. Mark and Yuta : pretty good but still easy to tell they're foreigner. Their accent are fine most of time but their vocab aren't as advance as Johnny and Renjun 3. Ten and Chenle : quite comfortable speaking korean but not on Mark and Yuta level. Chenle is really fast learner, he probably better than Ten nowadays. 4. The rest. Winwin probably the best one on this level. Kun have obvious accent and Lucas speak broken korean most of time lmao. Not sure about XiaoHenYang since we barely hear them speaking korean.

It sad when I remember yuta is the only one who struggles with korean and english at the same time. When chinese member struggle with korean or eng, there r still other Chinese members that help to explain in Chinese to them. And ten can understand in english at least. And ask for translation of korean words in english. But yuta is the only Japanese in the group. And he have no choice but to learn korean really hard to able to communicate with the team. I remember 1 time he confessed that he want someone who can talk in Japanese with him. Hence, why he so excited when nct go to japan for tour or promoting album. My baby is so lonely bruhh.

@@sunshinebloom921 There are quite a few foreigners though, even though they are of Chinese descent. Lucas struggles with Chinese (Mandarin) too since he's from Hong Kong and speaks Cantonese. The other members have joked about his Mandarin skills. Hendery is from Macau where they speak Cantonese as well and Yang Yang was born in Germany, so I'm not sure how good their Mandarin is.

And the HK, Macau, China relationship is complicated. I live in mainland China and while they are thought to be a part of China, people from there are still called 'overseas Chinese' and thought of as foreigners in a way.
