Yes, he trained with them and is quite close with Sehun. Sehun even posted a picture of Johnny when he debut with 127 and congratulated him. They even had a bonding moment at ISAC

Johnny is close with exo members in general. Especially the ones who's been training for a long time, like Chanyeol, Suho, Kai and Sehun. They all spent trainee days together the longest.
