Thank you for being the only accurate video I trusted to help me pronounce "Ndebele" correctly.

people you should learn your history,his speaking Ndebele of King mzilikazi from matebeleland wich is a dialect of the Zulu language, mzilikazi separated from Tshaka zulu and went north to what we call Bulawayo now,so yes if you understand Ndebele you probably understand Zulu and Xhosa
@francescafasso81595 жыл бұрын
hey there! Im looking up some history from your country, and reading a book from a Zimbabwean writer as well: NoViolet Bulawayo. One of the characters' named Tshaka Zulu, I bet you speaking of a different one tho, right? Was he another king, like Mzilikazi or tribe's elder? cheers Fran

isiNdebele from Zim uses Zulu and Xhosa stuff interchangeably but the language is largely biased to Zulu, actually Ndebeles are Nguni

It's not only the click sounds that I notice some people (especially English speaking) find difficult but its also sounds like hl as in hlola, b as in bona, md as in mduduzi and nd as in Ndebele. There are many more in the list. It's only a matter of getting to know what you've got to do in you mouth in order to say the sound. Once you get the sound, the logical structure of the language especially writing is very easy as you write as you say and say as you write. The odd thing about this is that the English sound "th" as in thing is not available in Ndebele but just about every Ndebele speaker can say it.
