Is this not the woman who was praising Meles Zenawi some years back? Sorry if she happens to be the wrong person but very much looked like the one I remember. It was not just praise but spoke of him as being an extraordinary human being (couldn't remember the exact words), a God-like creature - she also seemed to have had a close connection with the Weyanes and worked with/for them......

@@dannydiaspora8326 Thank you for the detailed and seemingly accurate information. Unfortunately, I have no Amharic app so have to respond in English. The impression she gave me in this interview is that her parents were members of the diplomatic mission, which means they are likely to be well informed about the goings on in Ethiopia. Even if it were not so and, as she implied in the interview, her allegiance was with Ethiopia and not with the Weyanes (and given her level of education) it would be reasonable to expect her to know what to say and what not to say. I think she might have thought since she found herself amidst the powers be and, given the attention and adoration she'd been showered with, felt she was on the way to become a billionaire. That, in turn, might have encouraged her to praise the un-praisable to an extent of worshipping him as God! I vividly remember her smile and apparent excitement when she said what she said. I tend to mistrust people who are willing and available to dance to the tunes of those who appear to be at an advantageous position. Again, thank you for responding and explaining things.

@@dannydiaspora8326 well, what choice does she have if she wants to be accepted? Whatever she does and is good at, trust will be something that she should try and earn. We also need to know Ethiopia does not depend on her. Thanks to the Almighty, we have many educated people nowadays so we shouldn't give her credit just for that for a decent human being is not judged by just one yardstick but by many, the most important of all being trustworthiness. Will she remain the same person if another government was to replace the present one? It's anybody's guess.
