When I watch this I still have trouble working out how he was not more well known and didn't 'make It' as a solo artist. He was so good,had so much drive ,releasing an album almost every year as he started out ,without the backing of a big label. When you see some of the 'artists' that do make it it is baffling! RIP Neal,Im thankful I got to see you play a few times here in the UK and that you were so driven to leave such a great legacy of your songs...you did not waste your time ,You and your talent,heart and soul are on the record Forever more!!

I've literally only just discovered Neil Casal's music - like an hour ago - and then I find out he killed himself three weeks ago. Damn shame - loving his music - as a Dead fan I'm hearing some influences in this stuff. RIP man - sorry you couldn't deal with your demons, but you made great music along the way - looking forward to discovering more of it.

On his birthday November 2nd they will be reissuing all his solo work and putting it back on spotify and ithunes they have i think four of his albums on there already but i am quite excited for it. Hopefully they also do Hazy Malaze which is Neals band that he is playing with in this video.
