Richter seems like the kindest man. He shows genuine interest in others when talking.

Yeah seriously ever since I heard him talking frankly (with only a little comedic sensibility) during interviews or other appearances like this one, I was surprised how genuine and good of a man he seems to be. Always liked him on Conan. And I always liked Conan too, there's a reason Louis CK was showed to the world ;)

Andy Richter was the first joy-bringing funny famous person who I ever saw talking about depression. It was before Robin Williams died and all of the contemporary literacy around it. I was like 18, and I wasn't completely naive, but I remember being so shocked and shaken. _That_ guy is depressed? Luckily when I got clinically depressed at 25, I had benefited from so much open dialogue and could say, "if _that_ guy has depression and is such a happy presence, I can do this too." So hats off to you Andy and Neal. It really does make a difference.

I haven't listened a whole lot to Neal, but he was a great asker of questions here! ANDY RICHTER -- in my mind -- has *always* been underrated. He was a genius as Conan's sidekick... he *almost* always had just the right quip, comeback, or joke for the moment. I really love him. I am a few years younger than Andy, and so much of what he said about "being at peace with himself, and falling asleep fulfilled at the end of the day" (I'm paraphrasing) *really* resonates with me. He was so introspective and insightful -- and I really think it's because Neal gave him the platform + asked him the "right questions" to lead him to the great responses. WELL DONE! 👏🏼👏🏼

"These kids come out as they are." Exactly right. Before I had kids, I thought that as parent we would have *some* impact on shaping who they became. Nope. Not one bit. You give kids love, food, education and a safe environment (which, to be fair is a lot) and they will travel their own path. We're just there for support and some guardrails.

andy's best sidekicking is actually off mic; right at the end of a segment/interview (after conan throws to commercial & the band starts playing & as the camera pans/fades out) you could always see andy strike up a lively conversation with the guest sitting next to him - so he made everybody around him more comfortable, & was very inclusive/supporting, which ultimately made for a better show in the end - that's what a good sidekick does

We need to talk about weed tolerance and optimal dosage. I have been experimenting with tolerance edging (keeping it as low as possible, with daily use). If you do one dose a day, for ten days - it gets crazy. Like mushroom trip crazy. I’ve yet to make it past 17 days, though I’ve been REALLY trying. On attempt 5 now. What I’m saying is - that it’s an infinitely better experience, overall, than heavy use. Heavy use kinda sucks, or is at least trending in that direction.

Neil, did you know that the "by your own bootstraps" thing started as sarcasm? It was meant to point out that getting out of poverty was damn near impossible. The fact that conservatives don't get the metaphor is symbolic of both their lack of empathy and their disdain for science.
@clicheguevara52825 ай бұрын
It’s _supremely_ ironic to claim that an entire group of people lack empathy - because doing so is an admission that you lack empathy for those very people. 😂 Also, stating that an entire group of people are both psychologically and mentally deficient is *textbook* dehumanization and bigotry. You’re projecting and being a hypocrite. All of you crazy left and right wing ideologues 100% deserve each other. I just wish you wouldn’t drag the rest of us into your delusions and toxic behavior. It’s getting really sad to see unhinged comments like yours every day.
