Very glad to see a new Queens of the Stone Age album (In Times New Roman), but what I really want is a new Them Crooked Vultures album. That and a new Oysterhead album. Two great supergroups that have graced us with only one album. I want more!

I largely agree with the point the interviewer is trying to make. The only thing I'd add is that tact and empathy are real things, and a healthy human being knows how to use them. One isn't legally restrained from being an asshole, but others aren't required to continue associating with you if you choose to be one.

My uncle is an amputee, he lost his leg in a road accident when he was 5 years old, he hates talking about it, he has a prosthetic leg and he limps a little, if people ask him why he's limping, he'll say that he had a little incident while playing tennis, his wife forced him to get a handicapped card so he can park, but he refused, he told me that he hated how people looked at him.

@@alexmajax everyone handles it how they do. I think I’d be fine answering a child curiosity but what do I know. I’m sorry your uncle experienced such a horrible experience. He may hate talking about it because of the way he’s been either teased as he young kid or the people around him handle it or also the reason it happened. I know that when young kids go through stuff like that typically, they adapt way better than an adult that’s had their leg the whole time. Having said that I think a lot of bad experiences come down to how you’re treated by the people around you afterwards that makes the difference

I learned very young that the lower people's IQ gets the more easily offended they are. But it's gotten much worse this past decade with those low IQ people thinking they're so important they can try to silence anyone they don't want to hear.

@RabidRavenTV
@RabidRavenTV Жыл бұрын
@@alanagottalottasay997 I'm not "giving" anyone anything, people already have a "pass" called freedom. People have freedom to have opinions and make jokes, and people have freedom to get offended by opinions and jokes, and they also have freedom to not listen to these things and move on with their day. But people DON'T have the right to try to stop someone else's freedom because they don't like what they said. And dumb narcissistic people are the ones who are more likely to do this. There's no argument against this that doesn't involve putting one person's freedom above another's, and the only reason why someone would try to argue that is because they're also a dumb narcissist who tries to silence others.
@lowlink534
@lowlink534 Жыл бұрын
Well, I would say that if you get offended by people with low IQ getting offended, then you aren't that high IQ yourself, right? lmao By the end of the day it's about not giving a fuck. But of course if people are trying to get on your nerves all the time, eventually you get offended, and if they do that more frequently to you than to other people, you gonna get offended more. Hence the people fighting for less "offending". So I personally think your comment is mostly just tasteless and without much rationale behind it
@RabidRavenTV

@@lowlink534 You obviously don't understand anything. There's a huge difference between getting offended at something and moving on than getting offended and trying to silence someone's freedom of opinion/speech because of it. The latter is fascism. It's not getting offended at people getting offended, people can get all butthurt all they want, who cares, it's speaking out against others trying to take away human rights and freedoms. What you said is like saying, "Oh you're getting offended at people being enslaved" idiot lmao

Wow, they talk all that time and manage to say nothing. I don't think it's unreasonable for people to wish for jokes about tragedies to not be made, especially by victims of said tragedy. Comedy should be more than just being offensive for offensives sake, which is why so many comedians get shit for their bad jokes and then cry foul because people call them out for their shitty joke. And the answer of "just leave" is such a weak defence, what's the point in a society if you're only to tell people to leave when they don't like something. "Oh you don't like how racist this country is? Well leave!" levels of arrogance

Arrogance is thinking that a person who gets offended has priority over someone that offended them. Both have the equal right to express themselves, and it's absolutely fine for someone to get offended and speak their mind about it. But what is absolutely NOT fine is trying to stop people from freely expressing themselves because you don't agree or think it's in bad taste.

It's disrespectful and inappropriate for someone to laugh at something like that. I can understand that it's some kind of coping mechanism to traumatic events or whatever, but please don't do it. Say it in your head. I don't have to put up with your stupidity, I don't have to leave MY place because of YOUR stupidity. YOU get out of my place.
