There has to be somethign beyond our reality. Sometimes you can just feel it. It will be ten years since my father passed and I have an aunt who is like a mother who is facing her exit. This was definitely comforting. Strangely enough my aunt has told me about this guy before and I never looked into him. Maybe the universe is trying to tell me something. My daughter had a NDE at 4 years old. This happened 25 years ago. My sister had her outside near the end of the driveway looking at the horses in the field and my uncle pulled into the driveway while they were out there so my sister ran down the drive way and at that moment a intoxicated driver came across the opposite lane of travel and into our driveway striking her. They had to call in life flight to fly her to Cincinnati childrens and they lost her 6 times during that flight. When she came out of her coma she said she was watching everyone standing over her crying and two people came and got her and walked her down a tunnel that was very bright and they brought her to a persona that was bright like the tunnel and they ask her if she wanted to stay or go back and I assume she couldn't make up her mind because she said the person that was bright like the tunnel said look your grandma is down there crying i think she still needs you if you go back you can come back here later. That was when I realized there has to be something beyond because a 4 year old could not come up with that own thier own.

Your daughter's statement is so good to hear, as she was such an innocent child, with unpolluted by external influences mind. As much research as I’ve done into this, as well as a spiritual awakening…just know that he is always with you. He will send you signs. Just don’t overthink it. We tend to make excuses & overthinking whether or not something is a sign. Lost my Daddy a couple of years ago. One day I was driving to work and a song came on that we used to listen to together. I was singing out loud and out of nowhere my whole body started tingling, I felt pure joy & happiness and tears were rolling down my cheeks while I had a smile on my face. He was definitely right there in the front seat singing with me that morning. ❤

I was drunk as hell with a former friend and we got in a fight. He started choking me and was trying to kill me. I lost consciousness and found myself hovering over my body while it was being choked to death. It was as if somebody had pulled the roof and the walls off the building and everything inside of it and it was just me and him. Everything else was pitch black. I was floating in absolute darkness. I was floating away farther and farther into the darkness. It was by far the most peace I have ever felt. There was no noise. I mean nothing. Absolute dead silence. I got to where I could barely see myself and him and then suddenly I was back in my body and running out the door with him chasing me. The door he had kicked in earlier that night bc he couldn't find his keys. I wouldn't of got out of there if the door was locked. I ran and got away. I believe that once I lost sight of myself while I was floating away, that my life would of been over. It felt as if it was a metaphor for my life being that when i lose sight of myself, im dead inside. That peace I felt was magical. No drug could ever give me that. Took me a while, but I quit drinking 5 years later. I'm 816 days sober today. That experience was life-altering.

When my mom was dying of pancreatic cancer and bone cancer, one morning I asked her if she wanted to go for a walk, she really didn't want to...she didn't want neighbors to see her in a wheelchair. We stepped outside and neither one of us has ever seen the most beautiful, bright colors if the grass and flowers. I can't really describe it but we have never seen how beautiful it was outside. I think we saw how beautiful things are on the other side. I will never forget it.

I am a Palliative Care/Hospice Nurse, as well as a Death Doula and Grief Coach. I have witnessed many deaths over the course of my 20 years, and all have the same pattern and similar experiences when dying. I know what I have seen on this side of the realm, so it makes sense what they see on the other side just before they die. It is the dying’s own reaction to death that makes me not afraid, makes me aware we are safe during death, and that we continue on in another form. Theo, thank you for this beautiful podcast. While you are living, if your daughter wasn't an infant...on that I have no experience, but besides that, never assume little things are just coincidences. I know people who wait for a sign and never get one, or so they think. Often times, especially within a month , ( don't get caught up on the time) we receive signs they are overlooked. My personal experience shortened...after my mom passes, I fell asleep on her front room floor. Before dawn, she spoke into my ear and immediately I woke up. I thought she was still here. Her message, I'm at home and I'm alright. Weeks later her favorite cousin contacted me and told me how my mom contacted her. I had never told anyone. Her message was exactly the same, except she called her sweetheart. My father used to collect dimes. I was around 55 and had never found even a penny but whenever life gets crazy, I will find a dime in places that I know could not have been there. Later, I found out those are 2 common messages. But you might just smell her, your keys might get moved, lights flicker, you think about her and suddenly you see her in a crowd or even more common, in dreams that are far more real than normal dreams. There is much more. One caveat here is to be certain that what you experience is not something perfectly normal. You might just need a light bulb, or coins feel out of your pocket or your dream us a regular dream. However, they do often try to let us know that they are alive. We just talk ourselves out of what we can't rationally believe. No matter what, that song is true...your circle can't be broken. Love is eternal. You honor her life by living the best you can. I'm so sorry for your pain.

My dad passed when i was 15, and i was really sad and worried about where his soul went and if he was in pain. One night about a week after he died , i had this dream that didnt feel like a dream it felt so real, like i was actually there. All i saw was white and gold light, all around me. I couldnt see my arms or legs just light and i felt the safest ive ever felt in my whole life. It was more peacful than words could ever explain. When i woke up i just layed there wondering what it was, still feeling peacful. And i think that was my dads way of showing me he didn't suffer at all and he was safe.

I had a similar experience with our family dog. She lived a long life, but we unfortunately had to put her down as you have to with most old dogs that are suffering from chronic pain and a failing body. Shortly after her passing, I had a dream that I was playing with her in our back yard on a sunny day. Strangely enough, though, she wasn't the old dog that I had remembered, it seemed as if she had reverted to her younger self as a puppy. No longer was she hobbling around from weakened joints and an old body. She ran back in forth in our backyard with the vigor of a much younger dog. I think this was her way of telling me that she was okay and no longer in pain, and to be happy for her passing. I think the dream world is much more than what it's been reduced to.

I had a dream with my father maybe a month and a half after he passed as well! I was younger and he was probably in his 30s and looked very healthy, we are driving up this red dirt road both singing should’ve been a cowboy by Toby Keith. But it didn’t feel like a dream at Simp too real and I remember everything still to this day. my girlfriend woke me up and said that I was singing and starting to cry in my dream as I woke up with tears in my eyes. That was two days before Easter, and when I went to Easter and so my dad side of the family, my aunt which would be sleepy his sister and my uncle, his brother both had dreams within a few days of each other And both said the same thing that my dad looked like he was in his 30s and healthy and told them both that everything is going to be OK and he is all right. My uncle said that he was driving with my dad in the passenger seat on a dirt road as well drinking beers. and then my aunt and real life had to go to the doctor to check out this possibly cancer spot in her neck. The night before she had to go she was very nervous and she had a dream where she got to the doctors office and saw my dad facing the opposite way from her. Looking down at some rocks. she went up to him and asked his name Todd is that you? And she said he turned around and was in his 30s as well and she said that he told her not to worry about him and don’t worry about spot in her neck, everything is going to be OK. The fact that my aunt and my uncle all had these dreams about him and the same time frame and he was in his 30s with all three of us basically giving the same message and even writing and a vehicle on a dirt road and mine and my uncle’s dream makes me think that it was a message.

But the memories I have with him bring me the most euphoric feeling (yes, I cry most times when thinking of it) when I close my eyes and be there again. We all have good and bad memories. My very first thought was: "Man, that was so good, why did you brought me back!?!" Only then I realized : " holy shit I was dead and I am back again. My grandfather was one of them. He “died” and minutes later came back after being led down a very bright tunnel filled with all of our relatives who had passed. They told him not yet. He came back to us and spoke of this daily said goodbye to us for two weeks, lost consciousness then really did die . They told him to come back and visit w us before he was able to leave the earth. I had to explain this to my mother who thought I was a complete atheist but I just really wasn’t sure what to believe at the time. Anyway, to argue against me being atheist I explained to her that the real world and universe we live in now is so magical it would be foolish of me to not believe in an afterlife. @@BigTexGuitarzit seems we are on very similar paths. You've just made it further down the track than I. Since childhood, I've had trouble believing that anything follows this life. I've felt that when we are done, we are done. Maybe it's just a coping mechanism, but I've found great comfort in that nothingness. Eternal rest seems really nice to me after a tiring and often disappointing go at life. I've been called "negative" and "dark" for vocalizing that, but I never thought of it as a bad thing. I don't have all the answers, and I know I very well may be wrong. I just haven't been able to convince myself otherwise. Your comment (and this video) gives me hope that maybe I HAVE been wrong, and there is a higher consciousness, and maybe even a higher power. I'm still not sure what to make of these thoughts, but it's definitely got my wheels turning. I don't mean to write you a novel. I just feel like maybe you would understand and relate. In any case, thank you for sharing your experience with us. Maybe I can even feel God's love someday. Who knows? Wishing you well on your journey.

Here’s another example of life beyond the veil. On 7/18/23 I was one of the first people to come up on a fatal motorcycle crash in northern Idaho. After my car accident the year before,which resulted in a OBE, I knew the deceased driver was still hovering over the area given that it just happened, so I mentally asked what her name was and “Jennifer” came in loud and clear. After the press release,it was confirmed that was her name! No doubt at all that we are eternal spirits having a temporary physical experience.

@BasedGod-ey5ee I don’t think a near death experience has anything to do with a persons religion. I grew up religious as well opposed most of those views as I entered my 20s I think as humans we get a lot wrong especially I. Religious teachings/interpretations but when you interview people of all walks of all religions who have the same thing in common but different beliefs and out thousands and thousands they all describe soo many commonalities on what they saw felt and heard… I don’t think that’s a mere figment of their imagination. There are too many factors to it. Describing conversations that were had by doctors when they were flatlined or even in a separate wing …. City or state. When you listen to a whole bunch of those stories of people who do not even know one another and the experience matches up it’s hard to ignore. I also think that being conflicted about any topic is healthy…as long as you don’t straight up avoid the data because of your stance and can keep an open mind.

I rarely share this, but when I got saved I was so grateful I would weep and cry before the Lord constantly for hours I would just worship him and thank him I was so incredibly grateful and one time I had been worshiping him for hours almost 4 hours. When all of a sudden I was in heaven and the beauty the flowers I saw are nothing like you see here and the air literally made this almost like a tingling sound it was almost musical I could hear it very faint I don't know what kind of instrument it could have been but it was incredible and then I was back in my body and worshiping the Lord. It truly is beautiful and full of a kind of love that you've never experienced before that's so overwhelming that floods over your soul

I never had a NDE, but I had an experience after my brother passed tragically when I was 16. About 3 week later, I awoke due to a bright light shining into my room. When I walked into our kitchen, he was standing the smiling at me. He was happy, and looked at peace. He had the beautiful, warm light around him. I was stunned, and said “I thought you were dead?” He just smiled at me and said “it’s not like that, you don’t die”. I just starred at him, and finally told him that I love him. He walked over to me and lightly punched me in my arm (like he use to commonly do). Then we were sitting on our couch and I was begging him to tell me what happened to him. His death was suspicious and we were trying to figure out who did this to him. He told me not to worry about that anymore, he was ok. I asked him again, and the phone rang. He talked for a couple seconds and told me he had to go. He got up to walk into another room and I asked him to stay. He turned around and smiled and said “Don’t worry, I’ll see you again”. He turned and walked into the other room. I was crying and jumped up and ran after him. He was gone. Instantly, I was sitting up in my bed with tears already streaming down my face. Then I realized it was a dream, but it didn’t feel like a dream at all. It feel so real, vivid, and unexplainable in many ways. I’ve never had another experience like that one.

I have had one NDE during a car accident in Feb of 2022, Valentine's Day actually. I was going about 75mph in the left lane and in the emergency lane was a pickup truck that stalled out. I veered off into that emergency lane and hit that truck staright on. The older guy inside it was alright but my car hit him then spun into oncoming traffic which i got hit again then my car flipped over. I was knocked unconscious and what happened during that time ill never forget. I started to float above my body and seen the whole freeway from my view, i seen myself in the car knocked out, the other guy i hit and other cars and then police and fire trucks and ambulance. I thought to myself this is weird! I felt no pain, a peace that i cannot put into words. When theo and the dr were talking about the infinite knowledge, thats exactly right! Then i heard a strong voice tell me it wasnt my time and that i have work left to do here. Then i was slammed back into my body and that actually hurt. The ambulance took me to the ER and they said i was clinically dead for about a minute and a half. That day changed my life forever. No longer am i a mean person or a liar or a cheat, i take this precious life that God gave me and help others and do good instead of how i used to be. It was a blessing in disguise!

When I died at the age of seven, I floated up through a tower located on the roof. To validate, I looked up the hospital in Santa Rosa California where I died and sure enough, there was a tower on the roof of the hospital. I was dying when i arrived at the hospital, had never been there before. I didn't see the tower until I floated through it.

@@E-Kat I had just turned seven when I arrived at the hospital while in the process of dying from pneumonia. I was placed in an oxygen tent, as part of my treatment. I couldn't see anything though the walls of the tent that was dripping with condensation until I floated up over my body. At that point I could see Nuns praying around my bed before I floated up to the ceiling and through a tower, as I mentioned. I didn't know the tower was there when I arrived at the hospital. After floating beyond the tower I entered a tunnel...at that point I was terrified and in denial, I didn't know what was going on. I came out of the tunnel to see humans greeting me. The lead greeter told me he was my deceased grandfather and hugged me, calming me down. A light appeared encourageing me to move on from him, but I wanted to stay with him. My grandfather told me I had to go. I moved forward in the love and light and found myself in a meadow with a bench. My father experienced NDE when he had a heart attack back in 1988. He’s almost 80 now and still works 60+ hours a week. I had an out of body experience at my wife’s funeral in 2012. I don’t recall leaving my body or returning to it. I just remember floating near the ceiling looking down on everyone for what felt like about a minute or so. The details and memory of that are just as vivid today as it was when it happened.

Not sure this relates, but when I was 4yrs old, i was having a major spinal surgery. I was completely out during the operation. However, when I awoke, I kept saying "daddy ran me over with a tractor". After the surgery, I was unable to walk and had to relearn. I'm 30 now and don't have any memory of it, but I can just vaguely remember a dream of my father and his blue tractor. My parents still dont understand the dream, neither do I. Just strange I was completely out during my surgery, but had a dream that my legs didnt work anymore (tractor running me over) and then woke up with my legs not working. Crazy. P.s. though I do have lifelong issues due to the surgery, I was able to relearn to walk, played ice hockey, had children, etc. I'm very lucky.

My step father spent weeks in coma after clinical death and major brain injury. He was describing it as enormous expansion of consciousness, he was able to leave his body regarding to the level of physical pain he felt. Also he was able to recognize nurses and another people right after he woke up. He couldn’t even speak and talk when he woke up, now he’s absolutely normal and healthy, miracle.

My mother passed away last December,. I couldn't be with her because I'm in a nursing home, trying to walk again. Anyway, my brother visited our mother the night before she died. She told my brother that our father came to see her. Our father died in 1971, when I was 5, my brother was 11 and our sister was 25. I wasn't surprised because I am a person of faith. I was too.young to understand death when my father died , but I obviously have a real comprehension with the loss of 4 aunts, 4 uncles , 3 cousins and both grandparents on my mother's side. That doesn't make me miss my mother any less.

@@mycrazylife408 They say 10-15 minutes is how long it takes for a dying brain to totally shut off. The Dr. here moved very quickly to shut that idea down for good reason, it threatens his whole belief system and what his career is about at this point. He is not just following data, he seems clearly biased, and is now pursuing what to him is a foregone conclusion. Anyway, that 10 to 15 minutes, that could be several lifetimes in an 'afterlife', even eons, seemingly, which is quite possibly just an intense altered state brought on by the chemicals released during death. Some say DMT (the primary active agent in ayahuasca, as Theo mentions) floods the system when this happens. There is a BIG difference between someone doing DMT sober, not dying, and the natural DMT in our bodies FLOODING one's system during death. Anyway, if true, that explains a lot. What I'm saying is, that state could be heaven or any type of afterlife. An illusory heaven brought on by what the person believes. People tend to see what they want to see or what their subconscious believes when they have NDE's no? Even many staunch athiests have a hidden 'what if' compartment or secretly want to believe or get scared in their final moments and desperately want their to be an afterlife. That explains all the different things people see. If you google around you can find a lot of researchers and scientists finding out results that contradict some of the things this doctor is saying. For example, 'the light' that people see has been explained away by some science as a result of a final burst of brain activity in the moments before total brain death (meaning ZERO activity on any level).

For the 9/11 question he had, there’s a guy on KZbin who tells a story about how one of the “falling souls” came to him after he hit the ground and thanked him for witnessing his death. He said he saw the souls leaving their bodies about 40 feet above the ground before their bodies hit the ground. I’m choosing to believe him so I can sleep at night.

I have had three near-death experiences in my life due to a severe chronic autoimmune disorder that nearly killed me. In all three of them, I was on the verge of dying. Then, 6-12 hours later, after being rushed to the emergency room and receiving surgery, I woke up. It was if that time did not exist at all. It was still very comforting and I do not fear death at all. I didn't exist for the overwhelming majority of however long you are convinced the universe has existed, and I will not exist after my death. My life is the anomaly. My nonexistence is the default state. Dying is like a journey back, like I was a drop of water that was lifted out of the ocean ever-so-temporarily, and then returned to it.

I've had a near death experience. I've half written it on his web page and will finish it tomorrow. I completely relate to this whole podcast. I can't wait to share my story but I've got work in the morning. And trust me, I'm lucky to be alive to tell this story. I had the 'option', and I chose, and remember like it was yesterday, to give it another go on earth, even though the other option to carry on down the tunnel seemed a much easier option. This whole podcast has reminded me just how lucky I am, and how happy and fortunate I am with an amazing family, great job, and the rest of my life to look forward to. But I no longer fear Death. By definition, you can’t remember the pinpoint/singularity/oneness of death because memory is rooted in language, and language is binary at its simplest. We even choose our characters imo, although I don’t see it like we preplanned each of our characters, it’s more like a daily choice to choose who you’re going to be.

I was content with things after the "evaluation" of my life, and genuinely thought the choice I made was final. But, despite taking a different route, my end result was also a lack of fear of death. Many folks that can still speak start seeing loved ones weeks before starting to transition ( Real hospice terminology for beginning to pass) It is such a comfort. Many will reach out or pick at the air. ( plucking at angels) Minutes to seconds before, so many have let us know what they are experiencing is beautiful, comforting and they will be okay. From sitting straight up and kissing their loved ones, to having a huge smile, telling us “ it’s so beautiful “ and so much more. Never been religious, but its an honor to be taught by my patients that no matter what your beliefs are, there is something amazing after this life. My brother passed in April 21st, that day/night, I didn't want to be alone, so I filled my time with friends etc. I get home sleep and had a dream that some one called me and said, my brother passed away, I said no he didn't and went deeper in my sleep. About 5 mins later, my sis in law called me and told me my brother passed away. I was so upset/confused/ sad all at one time. I feel it was his way of telling me his gone , to get me prepared for the reality of it being true, the only hope I have is that I will see him again and apologize for not being the best person I can for him, love you brother, till we meet again ❤❤❤
