There was only one time my car spun out. I was driving to work, it had snowed the night before, and they hadn't plowed the roads yet. I was going at about 25-30 mph, and I cam up to a red light. I started braking, and my car did a full 360° spin. I didn't hit anyone else, and I stopped RIGHT in front of the white line. I just sat there in total silence. Got to work right on time.

My cousin had to have the back of his skull glued together after getting a claw hammer stuck in it. He was smashing up bits of rubber tarmac. It was my idea. My little brother and big sister both broke their ankles jumping out of an upstairs window. They were meant to land on the porch and slide down it. It was my idea. A friend at school dislocated his collarbone attempting to skip through a childs hula-hoop. It was my idea. No broken bones or near-death experiences personally, but I've goaded plenty of people into inadvertently hurting themselves. I am an agent of Darwinism. _"Nah, I don't want to do that, seems kinda dangerous. You should totally try it though, I'll bet it's really fun!"_

so is the parking brake and the e brake the same thing cause I have been told countless times to never use the parking brake when stoping hard especially when there is weather on the road cause cause your wheels lock up and you skid instead of letting the abs do it's thing when you stomp on the brake
@possiblycrazy4427 жыл бұрын
Yes. The parking brake / emergency brake / hand brake is just a simple backup brake that does not have an anti-lock system built into it. By design, it's not so much for slowing the car down as it is just to clamp a couple wheels and keep them from rolling while you're parked. That's why they lock in the engaged position and need to be disengaged with the brake release. (a button or a pull-tab/lever) If you ever have to rely on that brake to stop the car (due to main brake failure), if you can keep the brake release engaged then you can operate the e-brake in short bursts, or "feather it." This way the wheels can keep turning and you can better maintain control. Remember: if your wheels aren't rolling then your car can't change direction.

this didnt happen to me but it happened to my dad. my dad was coming home one night from work and it was a snowy night not anything heavy but enough to make it hard to see and slick enough that if your not careful you could spin out. so any ways he is driving home cant see that well trying hard not focus and not crash and suddenly from what he told my mother a horse fucking walked on to the road he didn't have enough time to avoid it and he hit it head on shattering the fuck out of the window and denting the shit out of the front and top of the car and causing him to spin out a bit because of the snow on the road. now thankfully the horse didn't go through the window the way he hit it the horse it just rolled over the car pretty much which is why i said the roof was dented as well but some how my dad did not get a scratch or even a concussion from any of that all the damage was to the car. and here is another fun thing id like to point out i am not religious any more but i remember my mother said something did not feel right to her but she couldn't quite pin point way she was feeling this way so she just said a prayer asked god to protect are family and then this shit happened. like i said i am not religious but i cant help but feel something or someone was protecting my father that night because one thing not happening the way it did and my dad wouldn't be here right now. so yup thats my dads near death story i got one for myself but its pretty fucking lame compared to this.
