Grizzly Peak is my personal favorite land in all of Disneyland. You should do a series where you spend an entire day of Disney at just one land. That could be fun to get to know it in a different way. Especially the under visited ones

The steam engine isn't for any one thing. That type used a big belt around the flywheel to power anything you could think of that needed it. The machine that did the work would be placed near the engine and had a smaller wheel on it for the belt to turn. If sleeping in a tent scares you, that's what they make camping trailers and RVs for. :)

I've been noticing your fancy new close-up shots (bokeh!). They are a nice touch! The waterfall on the back side of Grizzly Peak is nice but the flow of the park doesn't direct your eye towards it. It's a missed opportunity. Grizzly Peak in general is amazing, though. Probably aesthetically my favorite thing in the park. The ride is also one of my favorites, though I don't like it too much when a gallon of water pours directly into my shoes. Also, others have said it, but yes, that machine is a steam donkey. They are basically just a winch. Tie a cable to a big tree and they can pull themselves on sleds into position wherever trees are being felled, then they can pull logs around wherever needed. Redwood trees are typically around 50,000 lbs but can get up to 4,000,000 lbs, so yeah, helps to have machinery. ;)

@ 05:45 It depends. There are waterproof cases that you could use to protect fancycam; dont know if they are within your budget or not. as far as taking it on as is? it would be a total carp shoot as to what happened to it, as you never know how the raft will spin on any one ride. In theory you could use plastic and ducktape to keep water out of everything but the lens itself (as putting plastic over the lens would defeat the purpose) but... I can understand you not wanting to risk it as well.

I'm binging on all your vlogs, huge WDW fans, coming to DL first time this June. Wondering if you have done/ would consider doing a rope drop morning in each park that shows an order of things like... go get FP (or book it with maxpass), then ride this ride first, then next, e.t.c... Trying to figure out a general plan. Just a thought, thank you regardless, I really appreciate your content!!!!
@JMCAragorn4 жыл бұрын
Rope drop at DCA is great. We always devote one morning to rope drop at DCA! You can ride Radiator Springs Racers (RSR) without a fast pass, but get a fast pass while you’re standing in line, so that you can immediately ride it again! Then Incredicoaster, then Goofys Sky School at least twice, a fast pass for Toy Story Midway and Soarin’, Little Mermaid is a walk-on, then a spinner! Lunch, then spend the rest of the day in Disneyland, feeling like you’ve completely done DCA! We usually have a fast pass for Space Mountain and/or Matterhorn waiting for us when we get there, too. We get a four-day park hopper when we visit, and one morning (always ends up being Wednesday) is always reserved for DCA rope drop. 🥰 Have fun!
