I’m gc3 rn trying to get ssl and I feel a bit at a loss of what to improve. My ssl friend tells me that my challenges need to be better but I’m not sure exactly what he means. Everyone is so close to each other at this level in terms of skill and game sense that I wonder how higher level players like 2000 mmr and stuff separate themselves from that consistently. Any high level players have some insight?

A lot of improving your challenges is making sure you’re not prejumping stuff that isn’t a threat but also not being too passive and giving them space. It’s all about risk analysis and a balance. It’s usually safe to challenge when your teammate is behind you, but not all things need to be prejumped like a slow/uncontrolled air dribble from their backboard. Those you can wait around middle for them to drop the ball and then it’s free possession.

@@Frozen_RL I really appreciate your reply! It makes sense but the one thing I’m confused about is that if you’re not challenging, aren’t you giving up space? My SSL friend has always told me that defense is about ending their attack as soon as possible (however I haven’t been gc3 for that long so he might have told me that to get me through gc1 and gc2). I understand what you’re saying about letting them give you the ball if they don’t have control, but what if they do? You’d still have to challenge relatively quickly in order to not give up space right?

@@ChuckTheDuck434you just have to learn to take control of the ball at a higher speed you can see the pros touch the ball so lightly yet moving across the field so fast you just have to find those points of contact and timing

@@ChuckTheDuck434 That’s where the risk analysis comes in to play. If it looks like they can full field it or their teammate is following up, then you have to prejump as soon as possible. But sometimes they are clearly awkward and their teammate is nowhere near them so you can let them use all their boost or mistouch it to middle.

Hey squishy, this is comment #2 of trying to get to play with you. I told you last upload that recently bought a black 2018 cloud9 jersey (the one you wore when you won the rlcs) and now I’m here to say that it just delivered yesterday! I really love the back (except there’s no squishy on the back) and the front is pretty cool with the red bull but the sleeves are kinda wide. Anyway I still look up to you, and I hope you have a good day. Can’t wait for the next upload, AND I cannot WAIT for the next cloud9 esports drop! Do you know when or what it looks like yet? In my opinion I think it should be like the old decal but instead of grayish black, it should be white. Like the white version cloud9 2018 jersey. anyway cya next upload squishy.
