Car Du the highland bull we have on hire has gone lame. A bull with a bad foot it not a very good bull. One thing for it is to get his foot up and see what we can do.

That's a very different chute than the ones I've seen stateside. I like how it has plenty of room for the horns. A cousin and uncle of mine raise this breed of cattle on a very small scale. I'm sure they would have a use for such a piece of equipment if they ever found one.

Older video, but I must comment. Similar intervention of small problems with humans, a small toe nail problem can completely disable a human. An ingrown toenail can kill you. Sounds ridiculous but and abscess tooth, or toenails if you don’t treat it is a very serious health issue. Your timely treatment puts out a small fire before it’s an out of control fire. Seems common sense but it’s a very important lesson.

I figured out why I stopped watching your videos. I suffer from chronic pain and often wake in the night. I liked your videos. Brought me back to my childhood on a small cow/calf, grass fed and baby beef farm in Northern Ontario in Canada. I stopped because it's just too much trouble raising the volume to hear what you say - and I really want to hear what you say, but then I'd have to quickly stop the video and turn down the volume before disturbing anyone else in the house. Now I'm watching during the day and still, l find it annoying! It would be so much nicer if you could turn the volume down to the same level as the verbal parts. The content is all I need to keep me awake and watching!

@georgegoertzen4723
@georgegoertzen4723 5 жыл бұрын
@@TomPembertonFarmLife it would be nice if I didn't have to keep turning the volume down for the music, then I have to turn it back up and 'rewind' just to hear what you say. I'm not fond of your music choices but I'm in my 60's, so that's no surprise, but I can't even use headphones to keep from disturbing or waking my daughter-in-law at 3am as having it at a volume to hear your voice is just plain painful when the music comes blasting up - so please, just keep it at or maybe just slightly above the volume of your voice. My ears thank you.

George Goertzen No problem at all, I need good and bad feed back so I can improve the videos all the time. Thanks for letting me know, in the new one I only have about 15/20 seconds and have put it to about 20% volume for the music. Hopefully that’s better

Please be careful. Here in the States, we romanticize police work. But it's not listed as one of the top 10 most dangerous jobs. Farmers, Ranchers and Agricultural Managers rank No. 8 (Logging is No. 1). When I was agricultural reporter, I had to write about a farmer who was killed while plowing on an incline sideways. The tractor toppled over, pinning the man. He bled to death. Perhaps you could add a harness device to restrict the animal's ability to kick. Just a thought.
