Brilliant video Tom - as usual most informative! I have learnt so much about what’s involved with looking after cattle 🐄 I never realised it was so intense. I just thought cows lived out in the fields🤷‍♂️looking forward to the next instalment. 👍 great.

Can we get a drone view of the whole layout of your barns/shop/milking palour/manure pile/silage and where they are in relation to each other? The whole farm complex? With labels if possible and if not, with a voice over describing what each building/area is.

Brilliant, love watching, my family were farmers since we can trace the name back. Apart from me, although I can't get away from it, I now have some sheep of my own and slowly renting land. Slow but sure I will get there. Love cows, one day I will get there. Again great content every time.

'Beefers', 'Low[e]s' (la!), and 'the calves' + any other type reared on the farm - please explain what the difference / end usage is? Also, do those calves know instinctively that they're not supposed to 'pancake' in the straw area, or, is it a 'fingers crossed' and a hope that they just don't? And if one does have a moment, how do the other calves respond to the miscreant? Love the drone footage, too! Learning loads about stuff on the farm - thanks for that! Cheers!

have you tried temping the young stock with meal or silage to entice them into the new shelter i've always found that works for me as food always makes them forget their fears with bring new cows into milking shed and calves onto concrete or new shedding and on a side note i'd love to be working on your farm as im in new zealand where its 30 degrees celsius

Hi Tom nice job. But that looked like a bail off hay and not straw. U should off scrapped the yard b4 u moved them. But don't no if it's same calf you see was a bit of bad foot. But just very near the end off u filming the calf's there was a black one by the one gate what sticking so u can Shut them up ether side. Just check your drone video that were i see it. But over thay ran rather well that was better job than you thought it was going to be with calf's. From Andy

Tom would you ever think about doing silage square bales? We do it and we think they don't use as much space as the round bales and you get half the amount of space back to use instead of wasting the space. Tom if you do think about it you should do the 2nd cut in them
