Great overview, Omar! To me, there has never been a sexier comic book character than John Byrne's Sensational She-Hulk, both appearance-wise and personality-wise. Absolutely love his take on her, and the artwork/inking/colors of this run. I said forever that I wasn't going to double-dip, as I own the two trade paperbacks as well as the She-Hulk graphic novel, but FOMO got me and I had to bite (ended up getting the regular cover, which I still really like). I'm going to hold on to my paperbacks for now in case the flat spine bothers me, plus I wanted to help show there was genuine interest in She-Hulk , with the Disney+ show in development. :)

Great video Omar! I got into comics not too long ago and this one of the first runs that I read. It is an amazing and fun read, it is a shame that I don't see marvel doing anything similar nowadays. Hopefully they'll reprint byrne's ff4 omnibus 2, I heard that one is also a good read. I got the poster version since I already got the paperback where they had the issue 1 for cover. As someone who owns the John Byrne FF Omni's but admittedly still hasn't read them lol, but HAS read Byrne's She-Hulk, I think that the Sensational She-Hulk references events from her adventures with FF occasionally, but none of it is essential to reading her own run. It's very much a stand-alone. At the same time, I'm sure it doesn't hurt the experience reading her in FF first, as it might be a natural segue.

So, I'm new to Omni collection, but this is how crazy the purchases were for this. One good EU shop (that is a mix between REALLY good sales on older omnis and REALLY expensive prices on release) put them up on yesterday evening at 130+ euros (add shipping) and it was gone in a short while. ForbiddenPlanet had been hacked for several weeks and it opened up at a random time this morning - before they could even send out a tweet that the site was back up they were sold out... Congrats to everyone who got it.

Thanks Omar for the video. Have been waiting for this omnibus since for ever and I am glad one of my most wanted was made. However, I do think that Marvel gooffed up with the price for the content. We all know that we can buy these cheaper than retail price but the asking price to me is far too much for such a standard omnibus. Heck, the AMS JMS vol 2 that you showed has way more content and is the same price. I am sure that this one would sell regardless but I am not sure I follow the reasoning of putting a higher price on a character that not many people know. If you want to sell this book, I would assume it to be better to make it more approachable. We all know that omnibi are bought mostly by people who are already in the know and just either want to upgrade from the tpbs or also want the integral collection oversized. But why charge more for a lesser known character and for less content? I mean, the Dan Slott She-Hulk omnibus has more content and is priced at the standard 100 for these books, why not this one too? This is the reason of why I passed up on it and even though I an somewhat pissed about it, I would rather then wait for a reprint and get it somewhere else for a good deal or get the complete collection tpbs as it seems to me that they will continue publishing this series.

I missed out too but someone suggested Reed Comics in the U.K. They charge a lot to ship to the U.S. but it’s probably gonna end up going for big money on EBay anyway so I bit the bullet. Got mine (DM variant) in literally two days which is faster than a lot of U.S. sellers. I like it a lot though I would have preferred they just did the whole run of She - Hulk instead of just the Byrne work. Still great though.

Hi Omar, according to Bleeding Cool news today this is getting reprinted in October. Would love to know if this will get a curved binding this time around. Also would be cool to see you do a video about the Silver Surfer omni reprint issues as noted on the masterworks forums (thread title "Silver Surfer Omnibus - MAJOR Production Errors"). Missing panels, pages out of order etc, especially since you did a review of it and hadn't mentioned any of it (nobody reviewing it seemed to have noticed at the time).

When month ago Amazon Germany finally delivered to me Wolverine, AMS by JMS vol. 2, Astonishing X-Men and Uncanny X-Force omnibuses in one big box, I was so happy because I thought I was save from missing out on books, and then this happened. Had this pre-ordered, but it says "temporarely out of stock" on Amazon. We in Europe really got screwed over on this. Can't really understand why the print run was so low, even if there is COVID. You should really let David know that this needs to be reprinted ASAP, because so many people were left without. I mean if you pre-order the book months in advance, you should get it. Do you know if there's any danger on any future Marvel omnibus, that the print run is this low and it goes immediately OOP.

Thanks Omar. I've had this on order for a very long time. The spine is a big disappointment...that's a LOT of gutter loss, in my opinion. Marvel needs to stop doing this with expensive books. They all need to be Smyth-sewn so they lie flat and are permanent. This book worries me as to how long that binding will last (ditto for JMS Spidey vol. 2). Please pass the word on to David and whomever else at Marvel will listen.

I think they may have had to change printers because of covid, because they were using a Chinese printer previously, but I'm just speculating.

I've never read the material, but if there is gutter loss, I don't think Byrne did a lot of splash pages, that wasn't very common back then I think, so maybe its not so bad in that regard.

I got one of those emails. I think IST may have listed it as out of stock while they sorted that all out and figured out how many copies of each they actually had available to sell.
