These are so stunningly beautiful. I love and admire space so much, and i've tried painting galaxies & nebulas countless times and sometimes I get so frustrated with them that I just want to give up, but they inspire my art the most, and watching your videos always inspires me to keep trying. My favorite galaxy painting i've done was completely inspired by watching your video awhile back of the 2 little nebulas. I love seeing your artwork and I constantly refer others to you as my favorite artist. Thank you for making these videos and sharing your artwork with us, and inspiring so many of us to keep painting

If you're ever up for it though, you SHOULD make a tutorial! Something that goes into how you choose where to put detailing at the end. The way you do it is insane, totally makes the work. Seems like some type of complicated math to me lol
@dawnmemories8 жыл бұрын
+Blue There's no big trick, there is nothing I can teach. It's simply learning by doing. I've been painting nebulas and galaxy stuff for over a year now and I learned by painting them so many times. I don't show all of the space inspired stuff I do because a lot of them are horrible. That's the main reason I won't do tutorials. I paint the way I want to paint: without thinking much and just going with the flow and with what I learned from painting these little themes so many times. It has become very frustrating lately because all people ask for is tutorials and (I don't mean you in particular! I mean in general) especially younger people don't want to hear the answer that I simply don't want to do tutorials. There is somehow this thing that everybody who puts speed paintings on yt has to do tutorials. why?... I just want to share the Videos I feel comfortable with. Speed paintings that are relaxing and maybe inspire someone. Reading comments where people watch my videos when they feel depressed or need to calm down and that it helps them to overcome feeling down, is something that makes me very happy also on a very personal matter. I just want to have fun with painting whatever comes to my mind without feeling pressured. ^^ I'm sorry that I was writing so much I think I just needed to let it out once~
@wileretdoll8 жыл бұрын
+blue +tillith The flow is what whispers you where to put the paint. You just have to free your mind :) (also, with this speedpaints you learn a lot! Thank you, Tillith, for sharing them
@KraccatiusManor8 жыл бұрын
+tillith I totally 100% get it. By all means, you can spill the beans to me any time, Ill listen. I know what you mean because I've experienced it with coloring hair. People constantly ask me to teach them how to do their hair and honestly its hard for me to describe to them that I don't "calculate" the formulas for a dye I mix. I go by what looks/feels right honestly and its never led me astray. I cant put into words for other people HOW I do this, it's honestly just natural. I've experienced this with a few hobbies so I get what you're saying. As for wanting to just enjoy your art and not make tutorials, YES. ALWAYS do what makes you happy. A lot of people don't understand that with watercolor especially, it's trial and error for everyone. I'm happy with the videos you make and I'm sure a lot of your true subscribers are too. We'd be able to see in your work if you weren't happy with what you're doing so keep doing you. Sometimes people want to come over and do art with me but they want to talk the whole time and I can't really even do anything when THATS happening. I get into a different place when I'm concentrating on making a piece come out JUST how I visualized it (which is a horrible obsession of mine) and talking/being talked to throws me off. I'm sure a lot of people understand that. ~Introvert Artists~. Don't stress about trying to please everyone, you are bringing a lot of people peace, happiness, and inspiration with the videos you're doing now.

These are amazing. I love the vibrant colours. I'm not really sure what all the white lines are but they do look really cool. It's an interesting technique, putting a light colour between the two base colours, and so creating a cloud thing and using the contrast to make it stand out. You did it on the third one. You must be really good at painting clouds ... well you are, I saw how good you are when you did the t-shirt design :D
@dawnmemories8 жыл бұрын
+KnightsGambit Thank you^^ Clouds are so difficult! I'm currently practicing them^^ I see you always commenting on the Videos~ That's really sweet of you!
@EmdozPro8 жыл бұрын
tillith I think with clouds you have more freedom to make it up, and then make it look like clouds, if that makes sense. But I'm not sure how hard it is with watercolours, but it seems to be suited for watercolours because of the effects watercolours can produce on the paper. I love watching you paint/draw and figured I'd try to comment each time, it's the least I could do, and I try to comment something different each time, and comment about the painting/drawing ^_^

This is amazing!! Do you stretch your paper before you paint? You never seem to have any warping problems. Whenever I try to pain galaxy/space stuff my paper warps and I don't get the desired effects because the paint just pools in spots.
