Hey, try using some lager malt for the paler colour. Also when chilling in an ice bath put some thing like a spoon under the pot so the cold water can get under there and agitate the water aswell as the wort, much faster.

Thanks 🍺 great idea on the chilling. The brewer states that the malt is Extra Pale. I guess it could be lager but I would have thought they’d list it as lager?

Yeah, the clarity is a bit of a mystery. The last pub pint I had was crystal clear 🧐 But they say the grain bill is just extra pale, so……

The beer on tap is much better than the cans. Don’t remember it looking pale piss yellow either. Thanks for doing the upgrade video ….. should help those of us less anal and less wealthy than Ed to produce a cracking beer. See you’ve also upgraded from a rich-man’s Ghandi to a poor-man’s Rupert Graves. Saying that, Ghandi makes up for a lack of …. Well ….. looks/style/personal grooming, with looking like he gives a shit. Saying that, if Alex had never had a girlfriend, maybe he would be stoked to spend time brewing with Tim too.

Yeah, can vs tap is a bit of a mystery. Until this tasting I’d only ever had it on tap (in boozers with nothing else to offer of course). How are your brews progressing?
