At least its not Detroit Actually Ohio's reputation as being a shet hole stems from the city of Cleveland who became infamous when its river (cuyahoga river) burst into flames in the 1950s do to pollution, the fire woul be put out and did benefit society as it became the main catalysts for starting the clean water act. Today the river is cleaner then it used to but is still considered toxic
