In our present climate it is increasingly import to create a buffer zone between our self-worth and the messages we have gathered about our unworthiness. This may not be obvious and we do find ways to cover that. It is time to revalue what it means to be human. When we consider this, we are pretty amazing creatures. All sorts of possibilities lie ahead of us but often they are neutralised by old stories we’ve accumulated along the way. The ’buffer zone’ lies between the outside world we find ourselves in and the elusive deep knowing where those ‘aha’ moments emerge where for no apparent reason we experience an inexplicable upwelling of emotion - love or wholeness. We create that zone with our mindfulness meditation. Mindfulness to become aware of the stream of thoughts running through our mind and the meditation to let them come and go until we don’t really notice them. In good time we realize that in the quietness we can draw confidence to move forward as we choose. (Meditation by David Prescott, artwork by Jan Prescott).
About These Recordings:
These offerings are unconditional with the hope that people find something that helps them. All recordings are made with a ‘live audience’ in streaming sessions. They begin with reflections intended to offer a fresh perspective on aspects of life. These are then followed by a guided meditation. We invite you share as you like!
About Pathlight Meditations:
These recording are made by Pathlight Meditations, which began to teach meditation-mindfulness in the 1980s after many years exploring whole person development. At that stage, there were few culturally neutral forms of meditation openly available, so they created something practical to fulfill this need in their local community in Perth, Western Australia. They included traditional elements of Intention, Posture, Breathing and Mantra based on experience in India and with different Eastern practices, adapted to be more compatible with diverse personal belief systems.
