I can’t even describe what my life has been like in the past 6 months, let alone the previous years. I just know I never want to experience anything like it again. I’ve been through enough in my life. I truly want nothing to do with anything from the past. All I want now is a peaceful existence, I don’t care about anything else. People and their opinions don’t matter, I don’t care what anyone else does in their lives, I’m going to live my life, my way and on my terms. I can sum up what it feels like fairly easily by saying that I feel like I’m having to endure someone else’s karma.

I'm suspect that the content of Bruce Feiler's talk is his own, since the term "LifeQuake" was coined in 2009 by Dr. Toni Galardi, author of the book "The LifeQuake Phenomenon." It looks like Bruce lifted virtually all the key elements from her book, including its "7 Steps," "Tool Kit," "Rewriting your Story," and even her Italian expressions! (And he's not even Italian.) Are we truly to believe that he developed these exact phrases on his own?

I am struck by the glaring similarities of your material to Dr. Toni Galardi's 2009 book called "The Lifequake Phenomenon," a term which she coined. Other examples of your blatantly using her material as your own are the Italian phrases by which she comes honestly (and to a Jewish scholar from the southern US, not so much!). Then there are her "toolkits," her "seven stage model," "Rewriting Your Story..." Jewish ethics - or any ethics, for that matter, would call all this in question. If you like her work so much, then rather than co-opting it, the professional and ethical action here would be to acknowledge your source. Are you willing to do the honorable thing here?

In response to the comments I see… Him saying “What I call..” and inventing or coining a term are two different things. He never said he created the word. Everything written has already been wrote; everything you speak has already been spoke. So the handful of y’all questioning his authenticity can take a walk. What he gave me I’m good with, but y’all call it plagiarism. I call it updated game. Period.

TEDx, please put down the talk unless Mr. Feiler clarifies on using Toni Galardi's work, calling it his own ideas and terms. If you look into "The Lifequake Phenomenom" and other books, you will find the material he uses and coins as its own. I am perfectly fine with people using the work of others for their talks, there is nothing wrong with it. But its wrong not to quote, and its even more wrong to sell it as his own work. Especially if he makes so much money with it already. Plus, "The italians have a saying" - oh what a coincidence that he also uses a italian saying in his talk ;) I just heard him saying it while rewatching to check my allegations

I like the slappers hahaha.. and I give comfort typically... I don't prefer nugders... I don't prefer comfort entirely... Still more than being nudged. I like being slapped. I think I sometimes am overly cautious or think to much. And I would like to get over myself. Or shut my mind off. Or think. I'm not so great. My problems don't matter. Who cares if my life is great or not. I want to make a difference so I put so much weight on myself. Lately, actually. I feel while listening to this, I realize, I think I've been judging myself harshly... My ex husband and his family were overwhelmingly critical of me and regularly told me I was defective and hated for the things I loved the most about myself... And it's been 4 years and I'm still shedding that... Really . Don't get involved with people who put you down. I was taught it was a social normal and that abuse was normal and to tolerate it and all people will abuse you.. but I was taught wrong. I was raised in extreme abuse and found abusive partners the most attractive. Not physically abusive. But other abuse.. people would be like, you shouldn't, and I would anyways. They'd say how bad the people were and I'd date them anyways. I need to learn, and not repeat. That abuse isn't normal, and not all people are abusive, and not all people will abuse me. And to not be attracted to abusive people, because I was raised in an abusive childhood places/experiences/relationships/"homes".
