She was never clean. I bet Torres was looking to overthrow Mercer for a long time but it's only until now that she had a chance through you. The "enemy of my enemy is my friend" kind of thing. Her dialoge implies that she found Mercer's method of running the smuggling operation was reckless and wanted to "fix" that. It's great though because it sets it all up for an expansion/update.

I did most of the sorry missions in my Nissan 180SX starter car until the part of the sending files to news mission was when I bought the Corvette and upgraded it. I finished the story in Cross’s Most Wanted Iteration since too me it fitted with Mercer. And him driving in the M3 and beating the game was SO fun.

I actually finished the final mission with the E46,at first it made me confused until i realised that it is THE M3 GTR BECAYSE OF THE INTERIOR (obviously the M3 GTR isn't upgraded so i couldn't tell if it is the real one because it needs to be around 150 to make the whine,until i saw the interior i was surprised as because in Payback,the car we had during the event wasn't even the real deal as it is alot of things missing:the whine from the gearbox,the rollcage,the rims are the default like the E46 "we know it is using the GT type rims which is BBS" and etc...
