The HSV GTS came back in High Stakes, but only for the PlayStation version. It's identified as a "sedan" ("saloon" in UK English) if the police pursue one (same applies to the Falcon XR8).

Wow! For the last 20 years I lived convinced that there were no more official add-on cars for NFS III than Falcon GT and 456M :o

Yup. There were 4 FREE DLC cars EA released. The Lister Storm, Spectre R42, Jaguar XKR, and Ferrari 456M. The Falcon GT and HSV were Aussie exclusives though.

So, all in all, there were six of them, gosh! :o I missed out a lot back in high school years...

If we compare it to its Class C rivals, it is defo better than the Falcon GT, and will beat the Jaguar XK8 in terms of acceleration at the lower band, as well as having a slightly higher theoretical top speed. The XK8 has better handling though. The HSV has slightly better handling than the Aston Martin DB7, but is beaten in acceleration + top speed. The Mercedes SL600 is superior in every field to the HSV. But if we include the downloadable Class C car the Spectre R42 that will nail them all

It’s kinda cruel that EA would give the Australian version 2 extra cars, but then make them the slowest in the game that probably nobody used except out of national pride

this is the good australian car before Ford Falcon GT is one of the worst car and very slow in this game
