If EA could use them, the theme was the other companies, that's why most ended up using ruf instead of porsche, look at Gran turismo or test drive unlimited, the hard contract from 1999 to the end of 2016, that's why GT sport brought porsche

Absolutely mind blowing to think we had in 1970 the 917k short tail. 580 bhp and a top speed exceeding 200 mph or 320 kmph. A literal rocket and such an important moment in Porsche motorsport history.

This game was called Porsche 2000 here in Europe. It was pretty good. The 550 Spyder was my favourite car in the game. I thought it looked really cool.

PC got 2 versions of this game, NFS Porsche 2000 without cutscenes and musics, and NFS Porsche Unleashed which was the complete version. Furthermore, the PS1 was still very different from PC ones and I don't remember if it had name variations around regions. I played both of them so much!

I like the PS1 version more than PC as this was the first version I had. Evolution mode has different aesthetics, with courses changing their looks inbetween eras complete with their respective soundtrack. You can't see that on the PC version.

Just a pink 934 RSR I would beg to differ heavily, more towards less variations of the 911 and more towards unique things of the car/driver if possible as without the 356 or 550, Porsche wouldn’t be what it is today in terms of sports cars or racing. They were the predecessors of what we know today. The 911 came out in the ‘60s while the 356s and 550s came in the ‘50s, so if they did that then it’s like forgetting their roots and origins.

Just a pink 934 RSR To be fair to state, I am technically a millennial by year though I grew up loving cars. And you do have a point about how good they looked without the chrome bumpers on street models though that was for different reasons. I still laugh at a lot of the other cars that Porsche had also produced for racing as well as civilian/street models. I see it as pertaining to the fact of the different models that Porsche made that could be a good lesson for those that didn’t know anything Porsche beyond the 911 or 918, and make them aware of the other ones that have been (and current models as well) the support as well as other side of my favorite car manufacturer. Plus, this on the PC was NFS: Porsche 2000 (if memory serves right).

Accessing this menu is done by activating "cheat mode". It's one of those PS1 cheat-codes where you press a series of buttons in a certain order in either the main menu or credits menu (varies between NTSC and PAL version). Then in quick race menu, an extra option appears that lets you access that debug car select.

I hated so much that PS1 version, terrible gameplay, repetitive race songs order, collision bugs where the car enters the walls when crashing, labyrinthine curves that force you to slow down a lot and giving the bots enough time to pass, there is no cockpit and this has happened since the PS1 version of the Hot Pursuit, the bots it has brick physics that makes it difficult to push them, lastly they had the bad idea of ​​using the V-rally 2 engine with an irritating camera and terrible physics for a street racing game. I miss PC version.
