Great to hear that you are doing some balsa bashing.

On your cabane mounts, maybe think about using 2 long blocks (3/8" x 3/4" Maple) grooved to accept the wire, that run parallel to the spar. This way these mounts are captured by several ribs to transfer the load. Plus it will make mounting the wire easy. Hope that made sense : ) !

I'm trying to visualise what you mean, however the cabane is not wire rather it will ne made up from aluminium bars

Interesting thing about the DR1, all 3 wings are the same, other than the span, and the accommodation for the ailerons on the top wing. So other than that aileron spot, all the ribs are the same.

Well done. Sure goes by fast on video. I imagine it took a few hours to hack out the ribs. I would have stacked up a pile of balsa and cut them out out on my scroll saw or band saw. Those tools are probably not welcome in the kitchen…lol. Maybe you should share your wife’s contact info so we can report you when you go a stray…what about riblets on this wing? Great job, I really enjoy the building…crack on!!

Thanks 👍 actually it didn't take long to cut them all out and shape them once I made the plywood templates.
