Nagarodi is an attempt to showcase the plight of people who have been neglected by the Government and the authorities.
The Documentary gives a glimpse about the lives of people who are from Kannaginagar, Chemmenchery and Perumbakkam who helped build the city of Chennai. Despite being the native community, they are living a life of isolation and poverty.

I'm from London UK. I have lived in social housing/ Council housing (i think called colony housing in Chennai) all my life. Looks we , all over the world (working classes in social housing), London, Chicago, London, Paris and plenty more places around the world suffer in similar circumstances. Chennai should've seen what problems social housing overcrowding creates around the world and learn from it but actually deliberately creating more social problems.

PRAISE THE LORD ! It gives much awareness to me personally about the violence of Tamilnadu Government on Scheduled people! I too have thought why can't they stay in such concrete buildings? Without proper infrastructure, Education, job, medical facilities, sanitary facilities it is really harder to those people to live their daily life! Ohh my god , A very big thanks to neelam for making this video , I also belong to north madras , I really wanted to help people , but Im just an artist and an IT Employee , When these families and their childrens not given a chance to use education or any kind of other devolopment programs like sports or something, We are going to face a big problem in future of the society , I understand that life not same for everyone , but this is extremely unfair and injustice for the people who had a very big part in building this todays chennai :( Thanks to Neelam , please do more videos like this , the least we can push this to some people who can see the pain so that they can contribute what they can .
