Can't get enough of Clementine voice actress, Aoi Yuuki, who also voiced Tanya, but strangely enough also voiced Yuuki / Zekken (SAO), Diane (Seven Deadly Sins) or Tatsumaki (One Punch Man) to show how versatile she is (just to quote those series that Neel watched but there are plenty more obviously). I wish she had a bigger role in Overlord because she's killing it with her giggles and cracking voice.

So much yes! I know I'm gonna catch hate for this, but most of the time I prefer the dubs... so I can actually watch the anime, instead of have to read. THIS however, was one of the absolute best performances given by a VA... ever. Any episode with Clementine (hopefully this is the correct spelling... ugh, I'm so bad with that lol) should ALWAYS be watched in the original voice format... she is that good.

nabe didnt pull the sword from the sheath is due to the fact that the dragon is classified as "undead" and "skeleton" which makes it highly resistance to cutting/slashing and piercing strikes, but makes it more vulnerable to blunt attacks funny thing tho electric attributes deal less damage to "skeletal" too LOL nabe just brute forced it, electric attribute deals good damage to racial attributes that has flesh "this includes "undead" just not the ones with "skeleton" and especially water elemental types this also applies to ainz BTW since he possesses both racial attributes also a unique info "NOT A SPOILER" but the racial attribute "Undead" has a natural immunity to insta-death abilities and usually highly resistant to cold, in exchange for myriad of other weaknesses one being healing spells/skills/items are mostly harmful to them, holy attribute literally slaps them and even fire is counted to be equally dangerous to holy spells overlord really puts a heavily detailed RPG into its presentation which usually gets skipped in the anime since they need to cut the info dump

Additional information: Clementine's corpse is missing, nobody know what happen to her corpse AND she is the only person outside Nazarick who know about Momon's true identity That is the biggest flaw in Ainz's decision

(I do believe that in the end its revealed to be a test and she's brough back to the Lab to continue the experiments..., so its kinda like a Rogue like)

@@Mugthraka According to the wiki that game is non canon and even in the game she actually escapes if you 100% it or something (there's a mechanic where she has to recover her lost memories). In Pledies she also lives but just avoids Ainz. It's up in the air if this is canon or not. Her body going missing is the last canon thing we know.

Nabe is a Doppleganger so she changed to her other form, the battle maid. Most lichs are physically weak so Clementines thought she could break out of his grasp then she starting panicking when she realized that wasn't going to work. 15:40 Clementne's death, visualize holding a jelly filled doughnut now clench that fist hard.

Well despite Him been a Skeleton Archmage, with a "low" Strenght stat COMPARED to other character of HIS level( so level 100) He still would have a STR stat of a 100 or so if his other stats where like in the 200's or even higher wich makes him Physicaly stronger than practicaly anyone in this world outside a few that specialize in STR and then again i ain't sure

Also, when Ainz says he's very hypocritical, it's in reference to the beginning of their fight when he said it would be hypocritical for him to be mad she killed those four. Also also, Narberal Gamma actually was a caster from the start. She's the mage of the Pleiades group (each battle maid has a different specialty). Ainz brought her on his little excursion because he thought a Doppleganger would have the easiest time pretending to be human.

Clementine is certainly popular for certain reasons. One of the few villains that are dies after only an episode or two yet leave a lasting impression. The only other such character I can think off the top of my head is Raynare. I think there is also a meme about Lord Twigo or something from seven deadly sins in some circles but that's more niche. Most memorable villain etc tend to at least last a 6 ep arc, so I'd say sped run ones that leaves an impression are relatively rare.

Japan is different in that they don't really swear like Westerners normally do and often its not really bad words that offends them as deliberately speaking wrong to others. An example might be a business meeting with CEO of powerful company and you use slang and very informal Japanese would be worse than using an actual swear word in conversation. At same time if you are fighting with say a friend or family member you normally might speak informal Japanese but switch to formal to create a distance between two. Even in theory it sounds respectful, its being done in disrespectful way and both parties know it. Its like an angry child refusing to say mom and dad and instead using their first names out of anger. So its actually more common to them use informal and not polite language and some times be translated as swear words. Kisama actually just means when translated "You" back in the day but the word was changed from being neutral word to now being impolite and often treated like a swear word these days.

@@Sora_D_Leon Maybe we just define "swearing" differently. While "kisama" can definitely be interpreted as vulgar, it isn't by definition. There's plenty of arrogant characters who use it as their default "you". I define "cursing" as deliberately and explicitly insulting, not via implication. I know the Japanese are way more sensitive to that, but this doesn't even take place in Japan, so I'd say the meaning is up to interpretation by whoever makes the subtitles. And the debate, in the first place, was about how this insult is so rare in anime. It's not, "kisama" is used plenty, many subs just don't interpret it as insults. Which is why I wrote the answer. It can be insulting, for sure, but it's still up to the translator. It's like the One Piece subs, which add plenty of "That bitch" when a character just says/thinks "ano onna", but they want to portray them as evil or something.

A few things to note about Narberal Gamma: She is actually a shapeshifter with only 1 form and was chosen for her composure and appearance. She is also one of the weakest among the Pleiades (i believe 60 or so), which gives weight to how strong these guys are. The battle maids were also created to be a distraction unit rather than for power, which further emphasizes how strong they are. Lastly, if you paid attention, the sword was locked into its sheath due to the skeletal dragons resistances to slashing damage, so adding the sheath made it into bludgeoning... which the skeletal dragon was either weak or simply not resistant to Also, Ainz is level 100 with several optimal build specs due to him coming from a game... Clementine is the equivalent of level 30 or so and her outfit was made from plates she stitched together from adventurers she killed, which goes to show that she was a force to be reckoned with and was so insignificant still. Clementine was a legendary assassin that wasn't given much more time but her name was definitely known

Thing is Aiz doesn't actually FEEL angry, but he WAS. The reason he took his time killing Clementie was because even though he couldn't feel any anger at her killing his... well... friends.... he still intellectually felt it. "You took your time with her, so I'll take my time with you" was because Clementine killed the rest of the team relatively quickly, but took her time to torture the girl to death.

"Kisama" is usually translated as 'bitch' or 'bastard' in anime localizations (based on gender) but I'm not entirely sure that's a true 1 to 1 translation. Also... Ainz was talking to her and lying to her from the start in order to cause her the most anger, frustration, pain, and humiliation. He played it off like the death of his former party members was no big deal, something he would have done in her shoes... By the taking of trophies and her style of killing, he could figure out that she was proud of her abilities and enjoyed being cruel, so he A) pretended not to be affected by their deaths and B) chose to drag the fight out and reveal his true nature as a magic caster who never even had to use magic on her to defeat her (a magic caster's weakness is a melee character like her getting in close) to show how weak she was in comparison. He broke her mentally before he broke her spine physically. He admitted to his lie by saying that he was a hypocrite. He wasn't unfeeling. He merely masked his feelings so he too could get the most out of her own suffering in vengeance. Not as cathartic as killing her and bringing them back... but it comes a decent way towards that...

Using "Bitch" was them doing some localization. "Kisama" literally translates to "You", however it's an extremely rude way to say so, to the point you can indeed translate it to "You fuck" , "You bitch", or in this case leave it at "Bitch". It's emblematic of anime and not really used irl. Also, you HAVE seen anime cussing, it's just that their swear words are pretty meak. For example, "Kuso", which is a bad word that can be used with anything and can even be translated as "Fuck", is used all the time, however it's so weak and overused that when they say it on anime they rarely translate it as an actual swear

It really does exemplify the difference: most current English VAs have exactly one voice that they just pitch a little differently depending on the character, while the top Japanese VAs like Aoi Yuki here really show a wide range.

Anime swears all the time. Some of the swears are not 1:1 to English so depending on translation they may say "jerk" when it could also be translated as "bastard" or something along those lines. JP has such better voice acting that English
